  1. At last years airshow at Selfridge ANG base the Michigan State Police had a large display with this car on display.
  2. When Dodge got back in NASCAR in 2001 Buckshot Jones drove the #44 Dodge for the Petty's.
  3. According to the brochure below you got springs, shocks, and front and rear stabilizers. Tires were G70-15 and or FR78-14 .
  4. The tires to use in the 1960's were "Atlas Bucrons" sold at Standard Gas stations. They were very soft butyl rubber with 2 grooves....................didn't last very long but they could really grip the asphalt. They were like having cheater slicks.

  7. Good luck on finding images of that car. Wally Dallenbach was a driver who never won a race in any of the NASCAR or Indy car series he raced in. Even ran the #43 Petty car and didn't last half a season so there was never a reason to photo the car or him.

  11. I worked at Dodge Motorsports from 1966 to 2007. In 1978 and 1979 I was running a race dyno doing development for Don's Plymouth Arrow.................what a blast. Making power runs to 10,000 rpm with a destroked 340"...............I think it was 288" cubic inch engines. Worked with him again around 2005-2006 when he was doing some development for us also. Great guy!

  14. Picked this up this morning at local shop along with a bunch of other older die casts..........never saw one like this before.
  15. The 2001-2002 had the Intrepid nose and the 2003-2004 had the Stratus nose.

  19. This was the Sunoco station years later after it closed .
  20. It is 1/64 scale. Here is the matching Gulf station only I added Mopars from the late 60's and early 70's.
  21. Here is a picture of the Sunoco gas station I worked at in the early 1960's. This is where I met my wife. That's her 1964 Corvair Monza at the pumps. Check out the price of gas!! The station had 2 bays and was a full service station in Detroit. Across the street was a Mobil station and way in the background was a Sinclair station.

  23. I worked a Sunoco station back in the early 1960's..................that's where I met my wife when she would come in with her 1964 Daytona Blue Corvair Monza......... See picture and note price of gas...........
