Picked up the pictured 4 die cast 2000 model year NASCAR cars at a show this weekend. Three of them are banks (black window cars). Would like to covert them to regular die cast cars with interiors and clear windows. Any idea where I could get interiors or clear glass windows to do this. I wouldn't mind using current interiors to update the cars. If I wrote Lionel do you think they would help????????

Jeremy Clements who runs in the X-Finity series this year ran a "throwback" scheme of this car at Darlington.

Ryan Reed used this paint scheme for the Darlington race this year as his "throwback" scheme. Real neat build!

I bought these narrow whitewall tires on amazon last week and they are 23-24 mm diameter. (see bottom of page) . They also come in wide whitewalls too. $5.75 plus $5.49 shipping.

I just picked up a 1/18 scale Sun Star 1963 Corvair Monza in the exact colors of my wifes first car. ( See picture.) However it came with blackwall tires so I am looking for 4 white wall tires for it. Her birthday is next month so I am trying to get it ready for her as a gift. Can anyone help me out????? Thanks

Absolutely beautiful..........

What a coincidence. I have a 1/18 scale die cast car with some small differences in the decals and sponsors.

I worked in Dodge Motorsports at the Chrysler Engineering Center for 42 years. In 2002 we invited all the current Dodge drivers to come to the Tech Center for a show and tell and autograph and picture session for the employees. This included both Petty's and all the other dozen or so Dodge drivers. All the drivers agreed to come at their own expense.....................except Hut Stricklin.....................he wanted $10,000 appearance money. Needless to say we got along just fine without him.

Here is another shot of the car from a book called "THE NASCAR VAULT" which gives lots of detail for the front of the car. -

Here is a picture of the car winning the Fireball 300 at Asheville-Weaverville Speedway on May 5th, 1968. Pearson led 299 of 300 laps that day.
