  1. The Duster belonged to Ted Flack along with Howard Comstock. I worked with Ted at Dodge Motorsports for over 40 years doing NASCAR and NHRA engine testing and development. See picture.

  3. He ran in the old NASCAR Grand National East division of NASCAR back in 1973 and had a Top 5 in one of the races. He was a regular in ARCA also. Nice job.
  4. Saw this on this weeks issue of Autoweek Magazine. The first generation of the front-wheel-drive Cadillac Eldorado was considered quite radical in its time, with a gigantic engine driving the front wheels and styling that was wild even by late-1960s Detroit standards. This must be the reason that Detroit model-kit-maker Jo-Han opted to make a 1:25 scale plastic model kit of the 1970 Eldo with some extreme customizing features. You like wood paneling, a gigantic ski rack, and ski-equipment sponsor decals on your Cadillac? Good news!
  5. I never knew plastic could rust!!!!!!!

  8. Haven't built a model in years, however, I picked up the following kit at a toy show last week plus a "Testors Amazing Air" airbrush paint set with various acrylic paints. SO, when I paint the body white (it is molded in white plastic) how do I prep the body? Do I have to put a primer before doing the white or can I just spray the white over the body after cleaning? What should I use to prep body before painting? The paint in the kit says it is acrylic..................are all Testors paints now acrylic or are there enamels out there I should use? Any other help would be appreciated. Thanx............... .

  11. I worked at Chrysler Engineering from 1966-2007 in the Race Engine/Performance engine departments. We started using this technology in the middle to late 1990's for building one off prototype engine parts for testing and development and fabrication. We had a couple prototype shops take a chance and invest $100,000 for the equipment at the time to do this. They became the leaders in the Detroit area for this technology and it paid off handsomely for them. This technology basically eliminated the highly paid job of wood pattern model makers. (they made the wood models and patterns for automotive fenders, hoods, tops etc) as this technology could make a complete wooden pattern in 24 hours or less.
