We bought a new 1978 Plymouth Volare with the "Fun Runner" package which was all the Road Runner trimmings but with the "Super Six" 2bbl engine. Awesome car and great mileage with the lockup torque converter. Had the same interior shown on an earlier post.

What did you soak your model in to get off paint and decals????????

I ran one of the Performance / Race Engine dynos at Chrysler Engineering from the 1960's to the 1990's. On the 1964 Max Wedge engine it came with what they called the "Chrome trim Pack" which included valve covers, air cleaner, oil filler cap, crankcase valve cap. Attached is a copy of the 1964 engine brochure. If you read the paragraph at the far right under "426 High Performance V8" it mentions these items. Sorry, the last part of the sentence got cut off. If I remember right that's how it went into production. -
Looks like the real thing...................

Kevin Harvick stats: Cup = 40Xfinity = 47Truck = 14And don't forget he replaced Dale Earnhardt SR after he died in 2001 in the #29 Goodwrench car and won 2 races that year. Talk about pressure.PLUS he was the Busch series Champion in 2001 also. He ran full time in both series. He also won the Busch series championship in 2006 and the Cup Championship in 2014. NOT TO SHABBY if I must say!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the 935 series of race cars from back in the day..........saw them race many times. Have about a dozen die cast cars from that period. Nice job on your build..................

Since that car only appeared in 5 races it will probably be impossible to find a pic unless you can see a video of the race with the hope of getting a frame shot of the car..................good luck.

Looks like #73 from the picture. Here is some info on the car #73. Ran in 5 races in 1972. Marvin Welty was the owner. Brooks drove five races for Marvin Welty but failed to finish any of those races. Since he was also driving part time for Junie Donlavey at the time that car could have been one of Donlavey's spares??? Junie Donlavey who owned the #90 Truxmore cars was always a sentimental favorite for me. According to "Racing Reference" as an owner he is listed as being in 863 races....................but only won one................unbelievable.

Going through a MIS program and saw this ad for one of the cars you built. Thought you might enjoy it.
