  1. I use Super Clean for most strip jobs, too. However, I once soaked an old Johan '62 Dodge in brake fluid for two weeks, and the old paint finally turned loose, and the old styrene didn't suffer any ill effects. If you have an insignificant part from the Corvair that you might not be using, you could try it in the brake fluid and see what happens.
  2. Nice job on the up top. I like the fact that it has the frame mechanism molded on the inside, too.
  3. Great work! Seats look more comfy, now! LoL
  4. I'd go for that one, too!
  5. Never say never! ('68 Coronet convertible as reference.)
  6. Fantastic! The colors really show off the wagon body well.
  7. They could bring it forward and call it the Shagmobile, complete with an Austin Powers figure.
  8. How about the '70 Monte Carlo seats?
  9. Is the Superfly the same as the Sweathogs Grand Prix?
  10. Maybe the MPC Magnum GT II?
  11. This is very sharp! I knew a guy back in '77 that had one in this color. His had a white interior, with white stripes like you have on your decal sheet. Either way you decide to go I'm sure will look great!
  12. Or do like my dad....fill it up with chewing gum wrappers!
  13. Did the '64 Bonneville have electric windows? I see this one seems to show manual cranks, but I was wondering.
  14. Well, since you slapped the gorilla, I'll go ahead and take a poke at it, too. I can handle everything in this upcoming kit, but my one pet peeve is the incorrect boot cover.
  15. I'm chomping at the bits for this '68 'vert to come out, even though I have two rebuilders going. Looking forward to the future hardtop, if they do indeed offer one. Bringing these old ones back is right up my alley! Makes me hopeful that they find the '66 Polara convertible kit, and bring it back, too!
  16. It might be that with the '68 Coronet, they had something to go back to as far as tooling. The new Bronco is just that, new. No prior tooling, to my knowledge. And the new Charger hasn't been done before, either, unless you count the Lindbergh version, or try to do something with the '05 Chrysler 300 tool.
  17. That looks pretty much spot on!
  18. Thanks for the info. I have several sheets of that stuff laying about. Now, to find a Vacuform machine! LoL
  19. I have a couple '68 Coronets on the redo workbench, complete with '69 GTX chassis to go in them. It doesn't seem to be a terribly complicated kit-bash, but I haven't been able to work on them in quite a while, so I might not remember correctly! LoL
  20. What type plastic are you using to make the parts?
  21. Great looking Plymouth! And it's in my favorite color!
  22. Will this rendition have the original boot cover from the MPC kit, or the boot cover from the AMT '69 GTX convertible. In rebuilding an original '68 Coronet, I noticed that the boot cover is not the same as the GTX, which seems to be more correct. Either way, it won't stop me from picking up a couple of the '68 Coronet kits.
  23. This is a great looking project! One of the missing links of modeldom!
  24. In 1975, I bought a new 1975 Dodge Coronet Brougham 2 door hardtop that had the very same wire covers.
  25. I ordered a dishwasher part from a place in Lexington, KY.(295 miles from Lawrenceburg, TN.) From there it went to Louisville, KY.(260 miles) Then, on to Nashville, TN.(86 miles) From Nashville, it zoomed right by Lawrenceburg on its way to Montgomery, Al.(243 miles away). Then, it went back to Louisville, then back to Nashville. This time, it came to my mailbox, instead of going to Montgomery! Our dishwasher was out of commission for more than two weeks, waiting for a small, well traveled part. I've had other packages that seem to sort of fly right past the house, only to come back later in a sort of boomerang effect!
