  1. Going thru some photos & came across these. I don't think I've posted them before. Built more than 30yrs ago...
  2. The blue works well with the colors in the de"cowl". Very nice!
  3. ?Its a fine night to bring out your DEAD! ?
  4. Very nice. The rear window really catches my attention. Is this stock (except for chop)? Its reminiscent of a '57 Ranchero. Looks great!
  5. Ditto! Looks really real!
  6. Looks good! I really like the delicate chrome trim on the dash gauges & valve covers, however the headlights appear to be mounted side ways...
  7. Didn't git it done, but some progress. Interior is done & got the wheels/tires painted as well as the body. Still polishing out the orange peel. (I have more pics but cant seem to to move them.) Any chance of continuing into the next round?
  8. Very cool! I was wondering, does it have a banjo steering wheel?
  9. Another great reference website. Thanks!
  10. Thank you! The glitter is in the paint & the glitter colors appear to be different between the 2 colors. Paint is Krylon Glitter Blast (orange blast & bronze blaze) I also used the sealer. The glitter gives it a coarse, sand like texture.
  11. I built this just for fun. Didn't sweat any details or spend hours researching anything about it. I have started a Rat Fink & have several Weirdo's, Silly Surfers ,etc. to go!
  12. Thank you all for the positive comments!
  13. Thank you all for the positive comments!
  14. Pink was a big seller in the '50's. I still own my 1st car bought used in '67 - a pink & white '56 Dodge conv. It could have been an embarrassment for a red blooded teenage boy as myself, but it wasn't. Elvis drove a pink Cadillac.
  15. She'd better not! Its a different brand of nail polish! Thanks for the comment
  16. Got some work done this week. Interior & wheels painted, and primed the body in black. Comments welcomed.
  17. Another 2 year old build. Used Krylon Glitter blast as a kind of challenge to 2 tone & BMF using such a coarse finish.. Surf board is still being finished @ the surf shop.
  18. These are the oldest survivors of my builds, both in the mid eighties(?). The Mercedes was my 1st experience with Bare Metal Foil. The '32 Chevy was reassembled/restored from the jumble of parts that it had become about 2 years ago. The Mercedes had sat so long a strip of chrome just fell off during the photo shoot. Didn't take much for the windshield to let go too! (They have been reattached.) es
  19. Built 2 years ago. Fingernail polish finish. Sun visors & mirror were the only parts added to an otherwise box stock build. Comments welcomed.
  20. DITTO!
