Thanks, Joe. Slow progress in the past few days but I got my order from Scenes Unlimited today. 8 lug wheels and Firestone tires.

Received my wheels and tires from Scenes Unlimited today! Now to really get rocking on this build. Tires are some nice Firestones. Since this is a G30, it should have the appropriate 8 lug wheels.

It looks rather large up front.

I have never introduced myself here even though I have been here for a little over 2 years. So, hello! I build whatever strikes me as cool. Though I seem to have a bias towards GM products. I also enjoy the hunt of tracking down that hard to find kit. I've learned a lot in my 2 years of modeling. Yes, I've only been building for 2 years, so you all have a leg up on me! I go to school full time, have a job, and help out with my parents often. So building is scarce, I jump on it every chance I can get. Thankful to all the kind members here on this forum, truly! I have learned so much and have many more tips, tricks, and trivia to learn from the many fine people here. -Jacob

Since I began in 2016 (yes for the first time, I’m 22) I’ve built probably 12. I’ve slowed down to about 2 a year now.

Truly nice work. My first build was a 67 Chevelle also. Built 2 years ago. Yours is fantastic and you nailed the stance. It’s a mean street machine.

This is something that has bothered me as well on this model. I am doing the interior now but have already started on correcting the drip rails and body line. If you look on the sliding side door, it does have the body line for some reason, but no where else has it. Frustrating. My kit has a drip rail that is very visible at some spots and others it is non-existent. My rocker panel on the passenger side is also kind of wavy. I'll post updates tonight hopefully. I've been mostly working on the interior (going to be very bare bones) and the frame modifications.

I agree with above. If you check the car aftermarket/resin section of the CARS section you will find a lot of good aftermarket websites or services. I find that list to be more useful than the stuff in the truck section.

I just bought from BNL Resins and am pleased with the outcome. Scenes unlimited also has an eBay store, but their own website is much easier to use, in my opinion.

I know that I certainly want to see it!

Thank you! Last night I was working on hinges for the rear doors. And after about 10 different designs I just wasn’t getting it done. So I decided to go with “original” styled hinges. They are a little bulky, but function well. I plan on test fitting them later today. The plates are very large in this photo but have been trimmed down since I also got the transfer case built, will sand off the putty later. Then to add drive shafts. I’m at a stand still on suspension for now, waiting on my scenes unlimited order.

Going to be a real monster!
