??? Sorry I don't have the "set-up" to post pictures, and only offering "what I use" to paint these type of rims (primarily the American TorqueThrust)........ On the 1:1 vehicles, I used a gray primer to "refinish" the darker gray colored spokes, the lighter gray I used a "flat aluminum" to paint....... On the models, I have used "flat-gray" for the darker, and "flat aluminum" for the lighter colored rims, (like in the original picture}...... Not perfect, but at least something that will make your model "resemble" the picture.....? DJ

??? I started building models on December 26, 1959 (guess who got models for Christmas???!!!!), and came to like the AMT kits early on as they were "less stressful" to build than many of the multi-piece bodies of that era.... They have not always been "perfect", but over the years have supplied hours-and-hours of enjoyment. As Steve said in his reply, the "subject matter" has always been important...... NOT disagreeing with anyone, just saying, even tho they may not have always been "perfect", they made items that I have enjoyed over the years......... DJ

Our local Walmart FINALLY started their "Clearance" on model cars!!!!! And what's even better, they drug out a BUNCH of different kits that were obviously "back stock" laying in the backroom..... Scored a Cal Drag Trio for $21 and a Grumpy's Vega & Ramchargers FED for $13 each!!!! Couldn't resist a deal!!!!! CHECK YOUR WALLYWORLD!!!!! DJ

Local W.Mart here had the remains of two displays placed "back to back", lotta left over stuff, but still some desired kits. Most are priced out at $27.97 which is better than the "standard" H.L. prices, and better than the H/town I checked.... DJ

Went into the H.L. at Bowling Green yesterday and was gasping for air at the "new" prices...... A bunch of the "less than $30" kits, were now more in the range of $33 to 39..... Even with the 40% off, not so much of a bargain!!!!! DJ

??? AWESOME JOB!!!!! Seeing all the "old school" details really makes this one stand out!!!! And the hood mount, was just "icing on the cake"!!!! Not many remember the old way of lowering the temperature under the hood as that did.... don't know that it made worlds-of-difference, but sure remember MANY of the old stock/super-stock cars that did that..... good "reference" if you want to see bunch of photos is GEORGE KLASS REMEMBERS DJ

??? CHARLES, You can order with confidence from RON, and expect good, honest, prompt service. The products of his that I've used so far (given to me by friends) have all been first class. Am actually waiting on an order right now. There was some shipping "malfunctions" on USPS's part, but RON backtracked and got the problem solved ASAP. The Walmart here in Columbia Ky brought in a pallet of models a few months ago, and two days ago (even tho there were still quite a few from the first pallet) brought in a new pallet display of models.... ALL RIGHT!!!! Nearest H/L are Somerset, Elizabethtown, and Bowling Green (40mi/60mi/and 75mi respectively)..... NO hobby shops any closer.... Glad WallyWorld brought them in here, as gas prices make for less travel!!!! DJ

Well put!!!! Having started building models 12/26/59 (Guess what I got for Christmas???!!!!!) , The AMT were a more precise fit than some of the "multi-piece" body kits, but as was said, the IMPROVEMENT in Revell kits over the years (and Moebius quality) make them a wonderful choice too. DJ

??? I was saddened to hear about Dave's death, and must admit, a bit apprehensive about "new owners" of his business, was relieved after talking to Doug Wagner..... At first, I thought you were gonna say you moved next door!!!! Same thing here... NO hobby shop, closest at Somerset (42 miles east) to Hobby Lobby, 48 miles to Burnside to a LHS (that is open about half the time I get over there), 65 miles north for another HL, 68 miles west to HL or Hobbytown.... With gas right at $4 a gallon, and 16 miles per gallon, I was HAPPY to see our local Wally-World bring in some kits. Sometimes location & circumstances alter our attitudes... DJ
