  1. Day 2 with Cragars and some big meat on the rear like maybe MT N50s. Just a thought.
  2. Just picked this up on eBay for $10 plus shipping. Couldn't pass it up.
  3. 2 thumbs up on all four! Ditto. What method did you use for your wash? Looks great! I really love seeing good "Out Of Box" builds and you have presented us with 4.
  4. A really neat and clean looking build.
  5. No, Ray. I've come to believe there are actually some of the dumbest animals to ever walk the face of the Earth on two feet out there, and that's ESPECIALLY true of those animals with their cell phones. I get my medical care at the VA. Quite some time back I went in for some sort of X-rays and happened to notice a sign on the wall that said, "No Cell Phones Please". I looked at the tech and pointed to the sign and said "You've got to be kidding". The tech quickly explained to me that they have had SEVERAL guys answer their cell phones DURING the actual X-ray process. You know, when the tech says, "OK. Take a deep breath and hold it"? Well apparently these complete morons think it's somehow OK to just go ahead and answer the phone if it happens to ring. And yes, I would have been one of the guys who would have said something to the woman. Even if my wife protested, the woman would have received a severe tongue lashing. That's just me.
  6. Beautiful build. I owned a '67 and loved it.
  7. Really great looking build. I like the steelies on it.
  8. Great looking gasser.
  9. Another really nice build. Simple, but substantial.
  10. WOW! Just a super job. Absolutely gorgeous. I know you're probably disappointed with it so if you'd like, I'll take it off your hands. 2 thumbs up, my friend!
  11. Thanks, guys. I'll be looking for ways to improve it for several weeks. I keep getting a few suggestions and have implemented a couple already. I know I still need to reorganize some stuff and I'll be adding a "Contest" board as well as a "Community Build" board. It just takes time to get things just right. I think the forum has started to take off and fly again. There are lots completed builds that have been posted and some of them are real eye catching. Now some of the guys are posting up WIPs which is great for the forum AND modeling in general. Whether your interest lies in "the good old days" of racing or in the modern, current cars you should find something of interest. There is everything from street driven muscle cars to top fuel, and some outstanding workmanship.
  12. I posted a similar announcement under "General", but thought I'd also post here since it's specifically Drag Racing oriented. I was recently given control and ownership of the QuarterMilers Forum. We have been cleaning and freshening it up a bit and have reached the point where I’m comfortable inviting everyone to visit. As the name implies, it’s a specialty modeling forum for drag racing models. I’ll be making a few more changes in the near future, but feel free to register and post up your drag racing builds now. I look forward to seeing you over there. Here is the link: http://quartermilers.proboards.com/

  14. Can't say for sure about the slicks, but I ran MT N-50s on a couple of cars in the 70s.
  15. Nicely done. That Yenko is sweet! Never owned a real Yenko, but had a Yenko motor in a '69 Chevelle I raced back in the day.
  16. I'm in the same boat. House remodeling just took too much time, and too much out of me.
  17. Super. Love that gasser/street freak.
  18. Yep, that's true enough, Tarheel. All body parts did have to be in place. Regardless of the exact class, that is one fine looking build. I'd sure be proud to have it displayed in my man cave! And love that trunk "key".
  19. Very nice! One great looking gasser.
  20. Really great looking MOPAR.
  21. Try using a denture brush as opposed to a regular, old toothbrush. The angle of the handle and head, along with the second, smaller head, make a denture brush a better choice. The bristles are normally a little more durable as well.
  22. Another tool in the toolbox. Looks good.
  23. Great! I happen to have two new cans of that primer.
  24. An exceptional box stock build. Very nice!
