I don't thin it, I pour some into the spray bottle and just let it fly. Just a few words of warning. Being enamel, you can't put lacquer over the top of it. It will never be as hard as lacquer, it does take about 24 hours to set up. It is a bit yellow, so if you spray it over white, it will have a slight yellow tinge to it. I apply a light coat, wait about 10 minutes and then lay on a slightly heavier coat. As I stated below, I have never tried to polish it, (I'm lazy) and it might not take to a polish as easily as lacquer? Good luck.... -RRR -
