  1. Sure is purdey! Nice color combo.
  2. electrocuting the termites
  3. Only because I've done model rockets, I have used soft balsa wood to burnish. I didn't know about the zipper back window!
  4. Cool! Looks really nice. Is there a peg board reflecting off the shiny paint?
  5. I'm amazed you did as well! I've seen those boxes of orphaned models at shows. This is just like the real world, someone finds a junk heap, and restores it. Did your sheet of BMF have expired adhesive? That seems to be a problem. Also, are you going to vacuum-form a rear window?
  6. Using Microsol decal solvent? I know there is red and blue. I like using Solvaset if the decals aren't too thin and delicate. Do the decals even stick to the seat belts?
  7. I thought there was a drooling emoticon..... So, nice photo-etch, looks like shiny Lambo emblems too.
  8. Good advice above! I wanted to add, avoid using putty, except in very thin applications. It's brittle, and can crack and break off. I'm using superglue more, especially when working with resin, I have no choice. I also use baking soda to accelerate the cure, but when the part is washed, it dissolves chunks and creates tiny holes, that's when putty is used. It's a good idea to glue in more plastic than you need, which will be removed when getting the final shape. In this case, I screwed up the cut, so had to correct. Putty will shrink over time too. Just my two cents, for what it's worth.
  9. I recently found out about this source, *have to* get the Honda 600 Coupe. Then the next step, find a 1/24 crotch rocket engine to stuff in it!
  10. stolen from smugglers
  11. Thank you for the review. The wheels are awesome looking. I hope they make photo-etch for this, big difference at the back. I'm surprised they don't do Forged Carbon-Fiber decals, since it an important feature, but Splash paints has a decal sheet that looks okay.
  12. It's a nice color, and I like how you did red inside the seats, to go with the engine. Good to know about the fitment issue, is it possible to modify the mounting points? I got this kit, with plans to use the engine and chassis in an old Ferrari. But after seeing how HUGE it is, decided otherwise.
  13. Well, it wasn't today, but on Friday my baby girl graduated from Navy boot camp! She is in the center of the picture, think that's the Oregon flag she's holding. The weather was better in Chicago than Arizona, family got along better than ever. The trip started out bad, the freeway was closed due to a fatality accident, but I was able to use a cross-over and go back to an interchange, that took a remote dirt road around it. Think this post should satisfy my "pleased me" for a few months.
  14. mixed with antifreeze
  15. Rooting for you! I should resume some projects. Again. LOL Crazy aero design on that!
  16. I have that kit in the box, you finished it, so you are AWESOME! I like it, but would look at lowering the stance a bit when I build it.
