  1. I was checking out some junk mail, car dealer promotion with a light fob that showed you got the winning number (yea right). I pulled the unit apart, it's just one LED light, but am contemplating the use of fiber optic that came from a party accessory. Nevertheless, will keep an eye on this topic.
  2. or Scotch whiskey!
  3. Yea I know, ancient thread with Dodobucket lack of pictures. I was looking at a Monogram 1966 Catalog found in a '41 Lincoln kit I acquired from an estate, and saw they made the Ferrari 275P. Is it about the same curbside lack of detail as the Academy 350LM?
  4. This came out very nice, not overdone, just right. I have a WIP that will be inspired by this.
  5. Everyone else builds shiny models, so I really like what you did to this! I have this kit, not thrilled about doing the window trim decals, did you Molotow pen or Bare Metal Foil?
  6. Saw this in the I'm Finished Yay section. Nice job! If I ever get around to doing mine, will take lots of pictures and perhaps do a tutorial on this HRM engine kit.
  7. Kurt's fragile ego!
  8. Appreciate the continued interest on my topic! I was thinking of starting a junkyard topic, of models that fell one too many times, but we just can't toss in the garbage.
  9. Awesome! I have that kit and HRM engine. Did you post in the WIP section? Their instructions are written, no drawings to speak of.
  10. Egads! Those are awful wire wheels! Good choice, glad you don't go for the wagon wheel look. I've owned newer cars, such as 1988 Oldsmobile 98 and then a '89 Buick Park Avenue (wife's choice), that had the fake wire wheel hubcaps. I hated those, noisy clunky at slow speed, impossible to clean. I switched out for regular wheel covers on the Buick, so understand the drive to ditch the wire wheels!
  11. Don't recall seeing a kit to begin with. Nice job, and the really cool thing, you built it!
  12. I have that kit! But who knows when I'll build it, a few others to choose from. Now I'll have to look for just distributors, I recently got a whole HRM engine. Isn't there a Comp... a ....... zoomie kit already? Look forward to see your progress!
  13. I wish the best karma for building yours! I got the kit with a GSL contestant bag, so I knocked it Out Of Box without worrying about a shiny paint job. I opened up the grill, which messed it up, but that was a bonus in this case. Getting the front parts on was like being blindfolded. There is no body/chassis mount at the back, so plan on adding something like a perch with perhaps using screws (I do that on most builds now). Otherwise it was a fun project.
  14. Agree with espo. My first diorama was a horrid AMT kit, diorama brought it to life.
  15. That's looks mighty fine! Much better than the Revell kit. Funny about the hood not opening. Nice wheels too.
  16. You did a great job! I LOVE the paint job. I wouldn't want to drive that in Phoenix in July though.
  17. using Tesla motors,
  18. That Galaxy looks HUGE! Impressed the Lark did so well. That's some great action.
