About $50, a bit steep, but nothing like the '68-'72 Chevy pickup kits people hope to get rich with.

Had someone whose dad died, had a bunch of models, many still wrapped, with price tags like $1.49. Some kits were started. The coolest I got is an IMC (Industro Motive Corp.) Ford GTP J car that was painted a bad white, easy save. Also got a Datsun pickup "California Sunshine" that was started, would make a cool autocross rig. Lindberg 1935 Auburn Speedster wrapped, Aurora Maserati 3500 GT, Monogram Cord 812, Monogram 1934 Duesenberg Weyman Torpedo Phaeton, and some other kits was my haul.

Start new model!

Like I said. But I do have some bargain kits in my stash, good for those times when I want to start *and* finish in my lifetime.

Wow,my work area is a mess.

My model area is about 4'x6', but I have a 3'x3' paint booth the other direction. Recently relocated the model stash into a 2' deep closet. -

I go through cycles. When I'm on a roll, I clean the workspace after finishing a build. Once in a long while, I add shelving, or go through parts stash boxes and sort out. I was working on two models at the same time recently, so now the bench is twice as cluttered. Then life caught up with me, and nothing is happening. -

I know the feeling of not being a perfectionist. I think it looks great! Nice color choice too.

Because the topic of keeping kits sealed came up as a new thread, I opened this, and found out the tires melted the back window. This may be the last Revell and/or Monogram kit I will buy, ridiculous the windows aren't bagged.
-
I've wondered about this topic. I used to not care about the value, and opened every kit. Recently have been buying what I could not afford, or simply missed out on, some are sealed. I asked about the Aerovette on a new topic a few months ago, it *was* sealed until a minute ago. I see the back window has the freaking tire burn! So that's it, not buying any more sealed Revell and/or Monogram kits anymore, that's BS the windows are not protected from the tires!!!!

Even though Maserati had a Biturbo, it's still what we Americans call Badass. Love the concept, and you finished it, which is important! I have 3 different Fujimi Countachs in the box.

I built that last century! It was before the other kits came out, so I was stoked. I also did the race version. I converted one to use an Estes AA rocket motor, took off across the parking lot really well, but then it sort of crashed, and survived. I have the full detailed Fujimi kit, maybe next century I'll build it. But you finished this, the color stands out!

Dang.... that's a well deserved win! The brake lines, fine solder? The headliner is a head turner, with the dome light.

I know this is an old kit, a search did not find any threads, so here goes..... Has anyone built the Tamiya Ferrari F40, using aftermarket carbon-fiber decals? The real car pioneered c-f, some is yellow weave, some is not as black as most decals available. I built the Fujimi last century, tried painting the seat backs.

I've had issues too. One sheet of the flat aluminum had no adhesive to speak of. I used the original version on a pickup cover, on diamond plate, it has wrinkled up over time, need to redo. Not convinced with Molotov pens, you need to do it right the first time, never touch up.
