  1. They are really cool bikes. Excellent job!
  2. Mike - I have a H/P C6280 printer/scanner/copier. I can set my resolution up to 19600.
  3. Thanks Raul. I heard that rumor a little while ago. I'm going to have to have one. For years, I have been going to build a replica. I've even gathered certain parts. Now I don't have to - I'll just get the Danbury one.
  4. Make the length (top to bottom) 0.47 inch
  5. If you find one built up, let us all know. These are slush-cast attrocities. I've never seen one built.
  6. I went to your Fotki site and looked at all of your cars. Your models are incredible. You must be one of the best kept secrets in the car modeling hobby. Beautiful stuff - all magazine quality.
  7. Bob, Thanks for the great show coverage. Wonderful pics. I hope to make your show next year.

  9. AMT '50 Ford with resin Carson top from Reps & Mins. DeSoto grille from Revell '49 Merc kit. Tires and caps also from Revell Merc kit with a small bullet added to each wheel cover. Tailights frenched in. Scratchbuilt side trim mimics '58 Ford trim. Gold candy-wrapping foil paper applied with white glue. Paint is Tamiya plum crazy metallic and lots of polished clear. Frenched headlights are the King Bees from a Revell '32 ford kit. Tuck & roll made with half-rounds and piping is very thin plastic rod painted Polly Scale German Mauve (light purple). Used the kit flathead with some detail added. Scratchbuilt the steering box and column. This is what it may have looked like in a 1962 Car Craft magazine.
  10. Great models and great pics. Congrats on another successful show.
  11. Oh my! Bill was my very good friend until I read that sentence. Oh well, friends come and go I guess. Just kidding. I'm very spoiled. I get to see Bill's incredable work every two or three weeks at club meetings. This is going to be an amazing piece of art when finished.
  12. Thanks Dan. Great pics and a great meeting.
  13. Yes, some people DID wig-out!!! This is Dan Peterson. Why? We don't know. Maybe he always wanted to be in an eighties hair band. Maybe his doctors told him to go through life as a woman for 6 months before they do the surgery. At any rate, a good time was had by all and a bunch of dead presidents were gathered to keep the club afloat. Irv Arter displayed several detailed 25th scale drag slot cars. Bill geary's Magnum. Cool looking '41 Chevy panel from RMR. More sillyness at the link: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...eeting-1132007/
  14. This is not Bill Geary's IT'S MINE!!!!
  15. Norman VEBER,,,please write this 100 times and have your mother sign it
  16. Like most others here, I show cars for a year, then they stay in the showcases at home. The majority of the "shows" are NNL's, not judged contests. There have been a couple of exceptions to my rule. If an NNL runs a theme that one of my cars already fits into, then I'll "unretire it" for that one show.
  17. This photo, and a few others with different views circulated around the net about a year ago. Many people believe it is a Photoshop excersize. No one yet has been able to track down anyone who was actually at this car show and has actually seen this display. It may be real,,,,or maybe not. I really don't know.
  18. Yep. They are AMT '60 Ford caps with the red band painted on.
  19. I was extremely honored to have this car on the cover of Model Cars Magazine in April of 2002. Built this about 6 years ago. It's called "Spooky". The main purpose of the car was to showcase the spiderweb photoetch from The Model Car Garage. Blood drips and eyeballs were handpainted. Early Pontiac mill with the spiderweb "hothood" Handpainted eyeball on the shifter.
  20. There is no old one. I started one many years ago, screwed it up, and put it back in the box.
  21. Cruz. There's no pic (just a red X) and there's no link either. I went to photobucket and put Marcos Cruz into search - it went to Yahoo and told me about Marcos Cruz who escaped prison in 1993 and has strong ties in the Dominican Republic. I always thought you were a little shady!
  22. The model is much like my stomach. For many years it was flat, but in recent years it has developed quite a few dimensions.
  23. Bill Stillwagon's new custom. much more at the link: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...mama-meeting-1/
  24. It was announced at the Hobby Show in Chicago.
  25. Yeah. I know, another Merc! But this has been our club logo for 19 years. Caddy wheel covers are from SJS Resin (long gone) with a bullet added to the center. '53 Buick trim from Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Md. and lakes pipes from DUDEK. Although Reps & Mins makes an excellent set of Buick headlights, these are from The Modelhaus. I added clear lenses. Kit engine with some detailing. Small bullet tailights from the parts box. Sunken license plate (M.A.M.A. was founded in 9/88). Photoetched club plate from Reps & Mins. Reshaped bubble skirts to match the logo. The club logo was drawn 19 years ago by Dave Roehle (Dave in the Hat)
