  1. Maybe I should drop an email to Paul to get this clarified - he’s not hiding - he’s just not producing or casting …. You are correct - Paul produced HIS first kits as “Dragon”. But I’m pretty sure that MQ never casted …. Then again - i live in Fl and he lived in Ca … I actually did meet him once many moons ago …. He had a wall of unbuilt resin kits in the garage behind his home that you wouldn’t believe … oh wait …
  2. On a previous page i posted couple of shots of Paul Fisher’s early Ferrari ‘64 GTO - here’s another one of Paul’s early castings -also now very rare- the GTO LMB …. Also in the ‘64 12 Hours … - this one is in better resin than the GTO - but it has a little bit of roof sag - will require correction of one of the windshield pillars - but not a disaster - another rare subject - but did MFH produce one ? I think so … I started work on the body years ago and then got distracted by a stray Maserati or something - the LMB entry is still up for grabs for this build - unless I’m the only human being on this forum who wants to make one - no rush - let me know …
  3. Ace posted a picture of the kit box artwork for his chosen build - the #23 Ferrari P 275 - that kit is based on this ‘65 slot car blister pack … there are some options for the P cars - we can get into these later - I’m wondering if anybody has kitted or produced the 330P - which had a slightly larger engine - I think - and a different tail … ???
  4. So someone needs to tackle the #28 NART 250 LM. This was an early LM - it’s first major competition - an electronic fault caused it to barbecue itself out by the runway … the logical kit would be the curbside Academy kit - with maybe a 12 cyl engine added - that would be nice - and maybe some printed Borranis ? ?? Unless you’re stashing some MFH 250LM kits and you just don’t know what to do with them …
  5. The Lindberg kits must be rare - were they 24th scale …. ??
  6. And you added the left side fuel cap over the fender - well played …
  7. Gramps - there’s a straight line there somewhere …. Great job on 2287 - and because you know your s**t - no spoiler - which kit did you base yours on ?
  8. Go to the Tremblant vintage race next July - you’ll like !
  9. Never occured to me - the smoke darkens the yellow just enough - right ?
  10. Pretty sure that this is our factory #21 Ferrari P entrant - owned by the Chinetti family - i photographed it at the Simeone Collection in 2020 - can’t recall if it is on permanent display there …. Whose claiming it ?
  11. Rats but I knew that you would know the answer …
  12. Almost done- another bath in hot water to shape the roof and then lots of CA glue …. The tabs are removed by sanding sticks - the windshield is in for good - i’ll mask it when I paint - I’ve still got small gaps at the roof line - but I’ll hide these with some sort of windshield seal…
  13. In order to line up the roof and get the A pillars symmetrical - Ive sawed off the right corner of the roof and re-glued it about one scale inch in - and then Ill re-profile the roof to make it all square …
  14. More random thoughts - the famous Cobra transporter - the one that was also used by the Scarab team - was that owned by Shelby in ‘64 ? Does anyone know whether it was used for Sebring ??
  15. ‘Nother great source of Cobra Roadster pix is the excellent Dave Friedman book on The Shelby Cobra team - Friedman was employed by Shelby so nobody had better access to the works …
  16. And my bad II - apologies to all in the Hill families both sides of the Atlantic - PHIL Hill was tipped to drive w Shlesser in The Cobra Roadster - Graham Hill would get to Sebring - i think - in ‘65 - driving a Ferrari - I think …. bugatti fan - how bout the Lotus Elite ???
  17. Thankyou slotcar - as i am not well grounded on all things Cobra …
  18. described as copper on the racingsportscars site - maybe - gorgeous either way …
  19. Shot on the Lyons site of the reserve #27 Ferrari 330 LMB - painted gold - looks gorgeous …. Did not start - should have …
  20. And: Pete Lyons’ site has excellent color photos of most of the race entrants …. W - by the way - 2 great shots of the #1 cobra roadster - and one great shot of what was left of it after it blew it’s engine …. Sad Face …
  21. That #1 roadster had some MAJOR rear wheel arches - not unlike the ones on the Corvette Grand Sport …
  22. PR - yes my bad - only one daytona coupe - please do the ill fated number 1 roadster - that would be great - very much like what you are doing on the 63 cobra build …
