  1. GT112 roadster, removeable top added by Sutcliffe, finally converted to a standard couple according to the Register.
  2. Very unique. The converted roadster.

  4. 1967 Ford MKIV. Gurney and Foyt Le Mans Miniatures kit. Was fortunate to see this car at the Ford Museum.
  5. Super looking models. It is rare to see the IMC Gulf Ford built up so well. The #4 Porsche 936 is indeed the 1977 LM winner.
  6. Well done as always Phil. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Beautifully built models Larry. I especially like the Talbot Lago. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Thank you Rex for the excellent reference list.
  9. I am loving these guys, let's keep it going.
  10. Since we seem to be focused on 1966 here is my Ford MKII winner. Anyone want to guess what is wrong with this model? The tires are wrong for a clean car. McLaren and Amon were contracted to Firestone but once the rains came Shelby had them switch to Goodyear rain tires and they finished on Goodyears. All of us who built our models with Goodyears need to weather them to match the tires.
  11. Hey Mike. I guess I should have asked for Kit Maker instead of Model Maker. Sorry for that.
  12. 1996 Joest TWR Porsche WSC 95 Wurz/Reuter/Jones Le Mans Miniatures The Porsche WSC-95 was a Le Mans Prototype originally built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing. It was modified by Porsche from the original Group C Jaguar XJR-14 from which it derived from and run by Joest Racing. Originally intended to race in the IMSA World Sportscar Championship, the WSC-95 saw very little race action even though it won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in both 1996 and 1997 without being acknowledged as a factory supported project. 13. Winners of 24 Hours of Le Mans in Scale To all fans of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A couple of us decided to start a topic dedicated to completed models of winners of Le Mans in 1/24/25 scale. Rich and I will kick it off in the Under Glass/Other Racing category and ask you to join in with your builds. Please give us the Year – Make and Model – Drivers Names – Kit Maker – and any notes you would like to add. Duplicates amongst posters are welcome and encouraged. Just one comment though, some of these models may be 50 years old or more and reflect the modeling times and reference material before the internet.
  14. Not seen one of these before. Thanks for posting.
  15. Excellent builds, both of them. You have a PM.
  16. Nicely done build of one of my favorites.
  17. Snake you made it into a sweet street machine. Are those front brake disc drilled? Mine are not. One objection with the M2 Mustangs is the front wheels are all wobbly.
  18. Great build and the detail really pops.
  19. Oh yes! Very clean and accurate build indeed.
  20. Here is some background on the models pictured as requested. Ferrari 166MM - Made a 1/25 scale drawing and carved the body from a piece of firewood. Provided to Herb Deeks who did a casting of it but Mike Quarterman and Paul Fisher beat us to it. Ferrari TR58 - Made a 1/25 drawing and using a technique by Don Emmons and carved the body from 4 pieces of wood, 2 sides, the hood, and the trunk. Later the paint started flakeing off so it is now in restoration. Ferrari TRI61 - Made a 1/25 scale drawing and the Don Emmons 4 piece wood technique carved the body. Cunningham C4R - Made a body using sections profiles and Bondo and provided to Paul Fisher. Corvette SS - Made the body using Bondo and sent to Andy Martin. Picture is the mockup I gave to Andy. Bugatti T57 - Made a body using section profiles and Bondo and sent to Pico Elgin who finished it off. Profil24 and LeMans Miniatures beat us to production though. The following bodies were made using vacuum formed slot car bodies as the female molds and lined with Bondo. Cobra Flip Top - Shelby/Cooper King Cobra - Cobra Super Coupe - Body provided to Mini Exotics who released a transkit for the Monogram 427 Cobra kit.
  21. Based upon Rex's find at Walmart I ordered one online and it just arrived. Not pleased with the black wheels so a bit of metallic grey looks better to me. Did some search and found a picture of the Wickersham A/FX and bingo a pretty good match. Now if we just had the decals. I also blacked out the grille bar. Not sure the mufflers and tailpipes are correct but that will be our little secret. Might detail the engine a bit too. Not bad for an hour of snake-fu.
  22. Super collection and the carvings are marvelous. Really appreciate your sharing them with us.
  23. Before computers and printers generated models some of us made our own from materials that were available to us. Share with us your old school creations.
  24. Super nice build. The carbon fiber really sets it apart.
  25. Very clean looking build if a rare car/model.
