Monogram '39 Chevy coupe street rod, comments
fiatboy replied to fiatboy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thanks Casey. A picture is worth a 1,000 words. And thanks Jantrix: I did not know it was 1/24. And I too will be using the Blue Flame Six from the Revell '53 Corvette. -
I am considering the Monogram kit: '39 Chevy coupe street rod. I wonder if it comes with the 'stock' chassis and suspension? Thanks.

I have the MPC '70 Dodge SuperBee kit. I am watching an AMT '70 Dodge SuperBee for sale. I am primarily interested in the chassis and rear suspension. These 2 kits do have different seats, but everything else seems to be the same. I am thinking I should buy it; what do you think? Thanks for reading this. fiatboy.

The '71 T-bird sounds interesting; they had some pretty 'outstanding styling'. Always wanted to build a limo!? -

The aftermarket company in Maryland, "Replicas and Miniatures" has Weber carbs. Part no. P-11A. I guess they can be used as either downdraft or sidedraft. They were $8.00. -
I'm primarily interested in the wheels and tires and any new parts in this reissue. Overall, is it an OK kit? Thanks

I agree, Ace-Garage guy. The 330 P4, isn't this the Ferrari the GT40 defeated at LeMans? But, yes, it is still the most beautiful race car ever, even compared to the Lola T 70.

My cousin had a 1980 Regal, beautiful car, and I would like to model it. I am thinking maybe a NASCAR kit. Of course it doesn't have to be a 1980, just one with a similar body style. Also, I'm not exactly sure how to find kits on ebay. I guess go to 'scale model car kits" and then search for this Buick kit. However, if anyone on this forum has a good one to 'trade for', that would be great, I will get it from you. Thanks.

2 beautiful builds. I'm glad you posted the photos; really enjoyed them.

I hate to be a Negative Ninny, but I do believe a Blower Bentley never won a race. But, yes, Bentley dominated Le Mans for the years '28 to '32. But guess what, I just got this same kit from Hobbylinc 3 days ago! And in addition: One of the model car magazines did a build-up of either the 1/12 kit or the 1/124 kit, I forget which one. I do not know if this was helpful but I hope so.

I for one am very interested in your Grand Am body. Was it made for just 1 year? My friend had one. What a beautiful car.

I am buying this kit mail order for $29.00. Have there been any build-ups in any of the model-car magazines of this kit? Is this kit considered to be a difficult build? Any tips?
