Umm....................wow. I'm of two minds on this. I really dig the lower Volvo P1800-esque body, but the moderm roofline just stands out like a sore thumb.
Thanks Bill. I'm kicking around a second build with an LSR theme and that overhang will be unwanted in that case. The front mounted glass is unique in my experience. I'm wondering how to glue that without having the glue joint visible through the glass.
AMT did a custom Pacer wagon that came with pieces to fill the rear side windows into a panel wagon. I don't know if they came with the recent re-release.
I started watching that one, but about halfway through the second season I realized, the show itself was stressing me out. I realized, this is good stuff, but I'm not really enjoying it, because it's so edge-of-your-seat. So I just stopped.
I'm wondering (without) having the plastic in front of me) what would be the best way to eliminate the roof overhang and make it a smooth transition from roof to windshield. Can the roof be simply moved back or will it require some plastic removed from the length of the roof?
Done. I feel the same way. I'll look through my kits and see what fits the bill that I might be able to build more or less box stock. We'll see what I can figure out.
Done. You guys are killing me. I can't seem to find enough time. My wife has been a day sleeper since February and as the bench is in the bedroom it's really cut into my weekend building. That changes for good next week, but I'm very likely moving into a new place in October. I'll keep at it, but things aren't looking good for Team Jantrix
Specifically the body. I want to do a weathered one for a future dio project and want to know what should rust appropriately. I figure the side mirrors, the front and rear bumpers and grill/taillight surrounds are some sort of plastic and maybe the rear spoiler, but that should be it. Sound right?
Some great advice here, but lets not assume you need a photo booth and a camera to share your work.
These were done with my Samsung Galaxy S6 smart-phone sitting on a couple books, against a piece of poster board with some extra lights added.
For an amateur they are pretty good and just for sharing with you folks I can't really justify spending more.
This one made me smile. I don't mind Foose or anyone else too much, but in my opinion Sam was the man. His work was so custom, it didn't look custom, just gorgeous. This '50 Buick really trips my trigger.
Understand completely. The Charger has the potential to be one the best models I've ever done, and of my favorite car. So I'm gonna keep at it but I will not rush it to complete my Dec 1.
