  1. That looks super. Excellent work.
  2. I'm confused by this. A junkyard runner by definition is utility based. Please explain further.
  3. Couldn't have said it better myself. I think it would be too wide, but I'd definitely stretch a V8 into a V12 or something.
  4. I do not think a kitchen fan will pull enough air.
  5. One of my all time favorite kits. The paint looks great. Looking forward to more.
  6. I like it very much. Can't wait to see more.
  7. I'm lovin' that. The third brakelight is very cool. Beautiful.
  8. x2.
  9. I think we need to see the chassis mocked up and see where the ride height is, to better gauge the ground effects.
  10. I have used Testors dull coat to knock down the shine and then red oxide and grey primer shot at a great distance, to represent pitting chrome/dirt/rust. A wash in the creases afterward is useful too.
  11. Yep, right after I saw the "Stand Back" video. Smokin' hot.
  12. I've already started it. I will complete the build, write the tutorial and release it all at once, in one continuous thread. I'm not a super fast builder, due to work demands, but the model is planned to be a Christmas gift. I appreciate all the support. I'll go ahead and lock this thread now, it's served it purpose.
  13. That looks great! I have plans to do something very similar. Thanks for the inspiration.

    The V28

Wow. That is high praise indeed. I figured I'd get a lot of Chevy fans all riled up about the Dodge engine. But not so far.
  15. Yes he did, and I know I'm not in Bills league, but mine will be different. I'm going even more basic than he did. No opening panels. No airbrushing, no dehydrator. Just a simple clean build using the tools that your average 16 year old could get his hands on with ease. I appreciate the support from everyone. I will be starting the work tomorrow morning. I intend the model to be a Christmas present, so that's my timeline.
  16. Thanks very much guys. I'll get on it. That sounds like a good plan. I'll take a few shots and bounce them off you.
  17. I'm sure you are right, I just want a little feedback from my peers before I spend hours writing and taking photos.
  18. My next project is a simple build for a friend. Just a motor and a wheel change. No theme like my usual stuff and no major mods. Rattle can gloss paint. So I was thinking about doing a point A (open kit) to point B (under glass) tutorial. It would include tools, adhesives, paints, clean up, assembly, BMF, some minor detailing including ignition wiring, and painting, basic polishing. In your opinion, is there any value, to doing this? Could I bring any info, that spending a little time on this forum wouldn't give you? Is there any interest? I bring up my "Walk Then Run" thread fairly often, this would be my way of putting my time where my mouth is. Or is this a job for a more accomplished and more well known builder? I mean, that people would respect enough to pay attention to. Give me your opinions please, before I spend any time on this. Thanks.
  19. Wishbones, friction shocks and a banjo steering wheel. It doesn't get more old school than that. Very nice.

    The V28

    Yep. That's my motto.
  21. Great trailer! I made one of those a few years ago. A lot of fun.

    The V28

Thanks Chris. I am nothing without my theme builds.
