  1. I'm diggin' it! Keep it going!
  2. My advice is to do what you like. However, from experience, no one cares about your work as much as you. Friends will come over and handle them eithout asking as if they are a toy. I recommend sending your finished work home to your parental units for safekeeping. I had several models destroyed by thoughtless roommates and their idiot guests.
  3. I think if there was ever a kit that lends itself well to a ratty weathered build, this one is it. You did a great job with some really realistic looking weathering. I thought it was one of Cranky's builds for a second. Nice work.
  4. Owen, as for paint. A lot of us are using Duplicolor and Plasticote automobile paints available in most decently stocked auto parts stores. A much better selection of colors, that go on well. It's a lacquer so primer completely with a like-brand primer. Clear will be necessary, and I would use a like-brand on that as well. The cans are fairly large and you can easily get a few models out of them. Here's my usual suspects for paint.
  5. Order from Plastruct or Evergreen directly I would think.
  6. Glad to have you. Welcome.
  7. I remember seeing that one in SAE back in the day and I was very inspired by the work. Thanks for posting it up.
  8. Nice work! Looks very authentic.
  9. I'm diggin' it. Lets see some more.
  10. Yep, that's the best way to handle it. I've been asked several times and that has ended the conversation right there, each time. I have done work for two customers before, and in both cases the model didn't last a month. They don't seem to place the same value on them as we would after they are done, even after they paid me. In both cases, I'd rather have the models back on my shelf than have their money.
  11. Looking great. Nice work.
  12. I'd like to see some more pics, chassis, engine, interior please. This looks fantastic.

I haven't seen that kit yet. How about an engine pic? Looks great.
  14. Is there a good one available in 1/25th?
  15. Wow. That is really well done, and great to see one NOT in red/white/blue.
  16. I think this one is the only hot rod I have that might qualify.
  17. Are you looking for realism in a post-apocalyptic movie? Seriously? I've loved them all. I'm very glad George Miller is back at the helm on this one. They are going low-tech, stunt men, driving stunt vehicles. He describes this film as a 110 minute action sequence. I think its going to rock.
  18. Occasionally I'll come across something that is too rare to build. Promos for instance. I immediately trade it for something that I will build. Zero interest in collecting.
  19. That looks super. Nice work.
  20. I think this would make so great surf rod. Id replace the spoiler with some sort of surf board rack.
