  1. Very nice and clean build!
  2. Almost poetry! ? I second your opinion and I like the fact that you consider that this has to do with one's own age too. The Porsche is built and painted just excellent, lovely model - Tamiya or not!
  3. Congrats Mario, beautiful build! ? The color reminds me very much of this one:
  4. Hi Anders, great craftmanship as usual. The rims are are touch too big for my personal taste, they appear to be 21" or 22" to me. But as I said, personal taste. No doubt about this being a well-built and -painted model! Does "horrid" refer to the build-up in general? I can't see too many downsides, apart from the headlights looking not so much spot-on and the Porsche badge being a bit too big?
  5. Thanks guys!
  6. Many thanks Anders!
  7. Many thanks guys!
  8. Hi there, glad you have recovered. The Jag is looking great. The paint you have chosen sets it apart from the usual silver/ blue/ green colors. It looks a lot like Jaguar's original paint Morocco Red Pearl (?) to me. Great model!
  9. Hi there, I got a hold of 2 built E36 kits some time ago. These kits are very hard/ extensive to come by these days. So my intention was to restore them both and build one into a Nurburgring endurance racer and the other (this) one into a sporty road version. The restoration was hard on this one, the body didn't take the paint stripping well and the initial builder used a lot of glue on the clear parts... Made the best of it, I gather... This was the starting point. The body used for this model is the right one...
  10. Great work on all of them!
  11. Fantastic work throughout the whole year, Anders! I especially dig both Ebbro Citroens!
  12. Great work all around on a colorful variety of subjects! But to me the Ranchero has to stand out!
  13. Many thanks Anders!
  14. Not sure if someone brought this up before... I used to have a challenge with creating panel lines where there were none, but should be. By coincidence, I found that there is a product called scribing tape. It has the right balance between being strong enough to guide the scribing tool steadily and being flexible enough to allow for an (intended) slight curve. Plus it has very good adhesion so it can be used a second time in most cases. This is the stuff. It comes in several dimensions. Works great for me. https://www.migjimenez.com/en/home/5845-scribing-tape-straight-edge-5mm-x-3m--8432074082460.html
  15. Many thanks Harry. Indeed I did some scratchbuilding for seatbelts back then and used some aftermarket metal stickers. I cannot take credit for the perfect fit of doors however, as they cannot be opened on this kit anyway. ?
  16. That is one SUPERB build!
  17. Well done, that's a great replica of your father's car. The 72 is my favourite vintage of that Chevelle generation, I love the round taillights.
  18. One thing about the Fujimi kits, that's really annoying me, is that the rear tyres are way too small in ALL their Countach kits except for the LP 400 (which had much smaller ones in 1:1). This is one point that Aoshima certainly did much better, looking at your build. It's very hard to get correct replacement tyres in that rare dimension! I'd like to mention that the Italeri Countach kit (probably sold under the Testors brand in the US) is a pretty good and detailed kit aswell. It goes together well and has good detailing, of course, not as extreme as the Fujimi kits. The "only" downside is the really bad wheels and tyres. I built the 25th Anniversary Countach from Italeri some years ago and managed to get some replacement parts on the internet.
  19. Hi Harry, yes, you made another great model! The "bull" looks great in that color scheme. I was surprised that the (usually well-designed) Aoshima kits can be a PITA in terms of fitting, too. I built the 5000QV kit from Fujimi (Enthusiast Model) around 1989 and I remember it was hard to fit all the underneath details into/ under the tiny body. So I hoped the Aoshima would be a improvement to that. By the way, your photos are always top-notch too, and I really like your approach which is both informative and entertaining.
  20. Many thanks guys! Thanks! The original color back then was called Jamaican Yellow. I mixed Tamiya acrylics (glossy white and clear yellow, IIRC) to match that color.
