  1. So, as you all are probably used to by now from my side. I tend to work on multiple models at once. The reason is simple, i get bored quick. but besides that its also a matter of area to spray bodies, so i do multiple at once when i have the chance to do so, and while i cant i work on the rest untill i cant go any further. The body of the XJ220 i already sprayed before xmas (together with the MK2 and GT3 porsche) so it has had plenty of time to get hard, and now ive started to work on the rest of the kit: It all starts with an engine right? Quick test of the interior, the seat inserts that are still gray on the pics, will be made black before going in for definate: And last but not least (for this moment), a test with the painted body on top:
  2. Wat een werk zeg... Cool and very outside of the usual box... lookin forward to the finished piece.
  3. This just went on my "future purchase" list....
  4. i tried the tamiya acrylics but i find them horrible to use with a brush, besides that that paint stinks like hell too! i guess its more for AB than brush. i must say i only have the streaking problem and what happened to the steering when i use the red color from Revell. the others give no problems at all...
  5. So after 3 weeks of not doing any model work, ive decided to get right back at it. Starting with this SLR Mclaren box, even though i already had a ACR viper and XJ220 that i was working on but okay. Its going to be an OOB build. No aftermarket parts necessary Color will be a metallic blue from Tamiya (TS-19) with a red interior Not sure to pre-assemble the body for paint or not yet, time will tell i guess. Here it is in its current state:
  6. Maserati Granturismo (and Grancabrio) and preferably MC Stradale while we're at it for me please how awsome would it be to have those as kits: or: I'd love to build one of these!
  7. The Huayra and SV are still on my todo list! are you going to be doing build threads on both? like to see how it is etc so i can already make some plans for when i get mine in the (not to far i hope) future...
  8. Nono, ive been in Al-Khobar, at the end of the crossway to Bahrain. My parents live here so visited them for the holidays They had plenty more, but i cant bring them all home, and money isnt endless sadly... If anyone is interested in more of those boxes (there were plenty) hit me up in a PB, i can show u than what they had etc. i have no clue what they will cost incl shipping worldwide from here (or from holland, as i can get them there thru my parents when they fly in once every while)
  9. Ehm, i'm a BMW guy.... My daily is a E36 325i convertible: sorry this is the best i have of this car actually... And i got a hobby car, a HPF Stage 3 E46 M3: And before you all start asking, yes it's a manual (not my personal preferance but i found this car and just couldnt resist) The MINI is my mothers, its a Roadster JCW with 231bhp on the fron wheels at just under 1000kg...
  10. So ive been in saudi arabia for the last 3 weeks, and today i happened to find a model shop by pure luck. I saw in the corner of my eye a tamiya sign on a old billboard that was barely readable, went inside and found a small treasure chest. They had the most plane kits ive ever seen in a shop, but ive got no interest in that personally. For me its only cars. They happened to have alot of vintage kits just for sale there NEW, they never sold those... I did what i had to do, i bought a couple of the kits they had on offer, heres my score: Pretty happy myself with my purchases! They had loads more! its good my parents live here, i can tell them to score certain ones for me if i want. i took alot of pictures of their stash, judging by how old their kits were, i doubt they will be gone anytime soon
  11. That color is awsome (Y) lookin forward to the progress and how it will be when finished!
  12. exactly this, ive not seen any Fujimi boxes yet with enthusiast series written on it...
  13. So i just started another build since the Murcielago is finished. This is a quick and simple build, but that is something Fujimi tends to be like i noticed after doing 2 kits from them so far. Ive spend maybe 2days some hours working on it, and i have already finished all the interior, cage, engine painting, and installed the whole interior and suspension (as little as there is sadly but ow well). All thats left is the body work and to assemble the engine parts... I;m planning osmething out of the ordinary for this F430, as i plan to paint it Tamiya TS31, i plan to do without primer, as ive currently only got the red Tamiya primer, and i didnt like how the seats turned out when using the red primer with the TS31 paint over it. The can shows it to be really bright (which i want obviously) but with the red primer underneath it became to much of a cognac leather color, looks good for the seats afterall, but not how id want the body to be, due to being short on time and money currently id see how it turns out when i just paint over the plastic, the body has just 3 small mold lines to get rid off with sanding and then we will see how it looks. For now here some pics of the work that ive done so far on it: Wheels put together and onto the chassis: Seats painted and put together: Seats and dashboard installed: Cage fully put together and started paint (these are a hell to paint by brush....): Cage with all the painted engine parts: Mockup of all the engine parts assembled: Interior fully assembled with cage now: Thats it for now, more coming soon!
  14. Never got that problem, sure i have a few model builds that were unfinished at once (4 max at a time so far) but thats just because i always start putting things together and only realize i cant assemble the body or put it on because i forgot to paint it first. I then always start sanding, priming and painting the model, and while thats happening i start a new one keeping me busy while every layer dries out and at the end it can harden for like a week minimum. When its hard it goes together and its another one finished. My resolution though, al be it a very difficult one, learn how to put the window glas in without having smudges on the windows like i now ALWAYS have sadly, ow and glue parts onto the body that need to be different color to the paintjob without getting it smeared on the paint like i have a tendency to do sadly...
  15. So here it is, i was hoping to finish it before leaving to KSA, but i guess its already finished looks good in general, some small mistakes, luckily they are pretty much all on the right side of the car, i should therefore just display it showing the right side i guess Although the big SV sticker looks better on the right, i got so annoyed with the left side sticker i just left it like it is, as it just wouldnt move anymore and didnt want to rip it in pieces moving it anymore... big decals are a pain in the *** Here is the final result: All other pics of the finished murcielago can be viewed here: Thx for following the builld i just finished unpacking, its going to be the Fujimi Ferrari 430 Challenge it. Soon ill make a topic on it once i get a lil bit underway with it

  17. The color i used for this car was Tamiya TS37 The lavender one. And thx for the compliments gentlemen
  18. thx, doing my best, some tiny mistakes (i hate gluing on parts when ive painted, cant make a small mistake and correct it without losing the paint) but i guess everyone has that atleast once on a build. Nono, ill keep it as it is for now... the 1st things on the agenda for the M3 is safety equipment like a cage etc.
  19. I've managed to get myself a very special E46 M3
  20. So i have finished this build earlier this week, here are the final pics: The rest can be found here:

  22. So been a while since i updated this thread, been home for a couple weeks again since my adventure on buying a car in greece (believe me, that was not easy, but fun nonetheless). and ive been working on my models since i came home again. Finished of the Porsche GT3, and the Jaguar MK2. GT3 Link: MK2 Link: But i've also worked steadily on the Murcielago. Im leaving to KSA next wednesday for Xmas with my parents and want to have the Murcielago finished before i go. By the way it looks at the moment that should be possible! Hereby some pix of the work ive done since my return Interior is all done, here are the pix of it: And the body being assembled for a large part, id say almost done, 2-3 days max! It was only after i had placed the spoiler and the rear bumper etc on, that i forgot to paint the part between the hood and rear black instead of green... Rookie mistake, just dont want the risk of taking it apart and ruining parts just to spray it black with a can again, who knows maybe in the future when i get more skilled ill still do it! Soon more, and hopefully the final build update! this build is fun but annoying at the same time, some things are just not really clear on how to place them etc (mainly the rear quarter windows, or the clear glass for the indicator in the back (i didnt even fit it, just could not get it sit in there sadly, thankfully it doesnt show though!).
  23. Yup, although i actually always know hes going to jump on the table before he does it, so i give him some space, and i put 1 model box of a kit i already finished on the edge of the table, therefore she never lies on my work...
  24. So i was at the Essen Motorshow today, i found this guy sitting there: Maybe you can find some things that were missing from the kit that youd like to add on
  25. I get that, but at the same time that cant be it... for example Aoshima makes a kit for the Huayra, but not the Zonda. Eventhough every1 i personally know or speak to via the internet says they like the model of the Zonda alot better than the Huayra. So then i wonder wha tmade them make a kit of the Huayra but not the Zonda. Regarding the old American cars, yes i fully understand but thats just cause i look from my age (24) and those cars just do not interest me, or people i personally know either really (some exceptions ofcorse lika e GT40), we are the growing generation now slowly and we want different things i gues... There is such a thing as TOO OLD! No this is not a hate comment, just realistic in my opinion
