  1. Thanks Paul! It is foiled.
  2. This was such a nice kit to build.! Everything fits nice and has good locating points…except for the sidepipes.? I was beginning to destroy the paint on the rockers by attempting to attach them with CA. I may try again with some epoxy? The bottom half is painted with Testors Blazing Black, and the top half is nail polish, separated by a custom .030” half round molding. All topped with Mr.Hobby clear. The Ford hubcaps and beauty rings are from the Revell ‘32 Deuce. Thanks for lookin’ !?
  3. It’s nearly complete now. The only thing I did to the interior is add some door handles and power window buttons. I should have gotten rid of the ejection pin mark on the trans tunnel, but it really isn’t visible easily. I also got the paint polished out to my satisfaction. Edit: I am calling this one done. more pics under glass here: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/190840-first-‘49-merc?/

  5. Beautiful work on the interior Dennis.? Nice touch adjusting the bucket seats differently.?Your first pic of the body with paint kind of gave me a “Mustang” vibe…similar proportions I guess? It will really look great once the trim work is done.?
  6. It’s really looking sharp David!? Good job on the doors. I need to do one with opening doors soon. I have a ‘55 Chevy that I have installed the magnets in, but other issues sent it back to the shelf. I also have a ‘58 Impala and an Avanti.?

  12. I have read obout this stuff and if it is tough enough for fingernails, it should be fine for bumpers. It is really thick though, and I did a quick test by mixing it with Mr. Color leveling thinner. Next test will beto thin it enough to airbrush it over a black base.?
  13. Mitsubishi makes cars that I don’t wish to aquire.
  14. Sorry, I have never used that stuff.?‍♂️
  15. Welcome from Winnipeg Michael. Looking forward to seeing your builds.?
  16. What type of canopy glue? I know the CA debonder I have will eat styrene.?
  17. Something like this might make a good starter? There may be better cab over candidates?

  22. I’ve said for years that they need to make it tougher to get a drivers licence.? That said, you have to wonder if some of these people even bothered to get one….or had someone else take the test for them??
