Fabulous scratch building on this one.? I’m liking that colour too!?

The left headlight bezel was a little out of level so I pryed it off. I added a fair bit of Milliput to correct my previous attempt, and it was easier to shape with the bezel off anyway. And I think I have it shaped satisfactorily now.? I took another look at the glass and decided to split it up and just use the windshield and rear window. The side glass I will cut from clear sheet. I also added a bit of putty to fill the gaps at the A pillars. This is the first time using the Duplicolor sandable primer and it sure seemed to go on dry and grainy. I hope I can get this smoothed out or it’s back in the pond.?

Where did you find the .020” half round Len? The smallest I can find is .030”.?

New month, new project.? I need a change of pace and I think this will do it. I haven’t gotten into it too far, but it looks like a nice kit? The engine alone is a thing of beauty, and the body color is so nice that I am tempted not to even paint it…but I probably will to get rid of the “plasticky” look.? All comments welcome as always.?

It looks good. I like the stance, but you better check your rear spring mounts before firing that beast up.?

Other than replacing the center divider with a piece of bobby pin, I haven’t done anything about the glass. I think I should take another look at it though before painting it again.

Nice work on the weathering and trim removal.? Just thinking…you could have drilled the trim mounting holes before removing the trim. Then they would definitely be in the right places.

I got the second color mostly done. I want to give it a light sanding when dry, to get rid of some slight imperfections and then give it another coat or two. The nail polish has some very large glitter flakes in it so I strained it through my AK strainer. I had the strainer in the airbrush cup and the flakes were plugging it up, so I think I will pre-strain it next time. I didn’t want that Bass Boat look though.
