  1. Very crafty way of making that look like stretched fabric!??
  2. Have you been using “Evergreen Scale Models”, “Plastruct”, or “K&S precision metals” for search terms? Those should all yield results.
  3. Nope. 5 lugs.
  4. With a little bit of detailing a sows ear of a model kit can be made into a silk purse.
  5. Thanks Francis. While trying to strip just the roof, I discovered that I liked a white roof better. I am re-coating the bumpers, as they got some wear during installation. I bought some of the Spaz Stix clear to use on them this time. Thanks Carl.? Thanks Mathias. I’ll get there soon I hope.? And I got the foil done.
  6. I may be wrong, but I don’t believe Ford ever used 6 lugs.
  7. Sparta rhymes with Varta…a popular brand of batteries.
  8. Nice fix for the ill-fitting glass on these kits Steve.? I really like the updated 409 too!?
  9. Amazing talent, amazing perseverance, amazing RIG! ? And thanks for documenting the build for us all!?
  10. Yes, nice work on the hinges, and that engine is a thing of beauty!? I am always in awe of all the wiring and details under your hoods.?
  11. Ambitious project…I like it.?
  12. Conflict is what my brain goes through when trying to decide what colors to go with.
  13. After Dave (yh70) recommended the Spax Stix clear, I grabbed a can this morning. I am optimistic about it. This spoon is coated with the Revell chrome paint and has been sitting in my dehydrator for weeks. I sprayed one light coat on the tip half of the spoon and then an hour later one heavy coat. The heavy coat seems to have maybe melted through and disturbed the chrome a bit? I think with the multiple LIGHT coats as suggested it would be fine. The shine of the chrome is hardly diminished in my eye. They also have it in bottles for airbrushing (10900). Thanks Dave!
  14. Home is where the model work is done!
  15. I would actually rather do it myself than have the city send one of those trucks that sprays the sticky tar coated pebbles into the holes.?
  16. It’s back in paint and I’m beginning the foiling process again.?
  17. This method will work for your wheels also. No math required...and doesn’t cost a nickel! ?
  18. You’re very welcome sir! I seriously appreciate the talent and effort you put into your builds. Thank You for taking time to document them here. Greg.
  19. Not model car work, but related. I built these little holder drawers for my Vallejo and AK paints using some scrap wood and. 1” hole saw.
  20. It says 2.5mils which would be 0.0025”. Which would be 1/16” in 1:1 scale. What about just doing a couple coats of a filler primer?
  21. Very nicely done!?
  22. Best to handle it with nitrile or possibly cotton gloves on too. Bare fingers will mark it instantly.?
  23. It’s getting hard to find, but you get lucas replacement parts.?
  24. Super nice work, and some excellent photography too.?
