Yes. ??? I don’t recall an airbrush ever exploding.? The fumes created by spraying lacquer or solvent based paints may ignite if they are in high enough concentration and exposed to a spark or flame though.
-
I don’t know what kind of paint that is or how well it’s cured, but be wary of leaving the masking tape on too long. I wound up with tape marks all over the trunk lid of the ‘64 I did.? For what it’s worth, I agree with the first response and would use molotow not foil on the trim and bezels.

Nice work so far. What did you use for paint on the white one? Thx.

It’s looking good Bil. You sure have a nice collection there.? I fully understand the procrastination thing…I too get sidetracked easily. I have a few books on how to conquer it, but haven’t got around to reading them yet.?

I keep the cans of primer and any paints that I intend to use soon in my dehydrator, (which is set on low heat), next to the spray booth. -
Pieces of model kits all over the place, and I have no idea where they belong.?

These little round makeup remover pads are great for wiping out the paint cup. I got this big bag at Dollarama for $1.25.?

Beautiful work on the chassis and drivetrain Dennis. That engine really looks great!? Yeah, those roof connections need a bit of work to get them looking nice.

I’m starting on this one now. I recently heard about a “strictly OOB” building strategy, and figured this would be a nice kit to try it on. Except of course for plug wires maybe. ? I got the engine painted using Duplicolor enamel, so it can sit in the dehydrator while I do other stuff. I figured I may as well do the Hemi engine for my Dart at the same time. Just cleaning up the mold lines which aren’t bad at all. I plan on a red interior, but haven’t decided yet on a plain white or pearl/metallic white exterior? As always, all thoughts or comments welcome.? TAFN

I think it needs a couple light mist coats, then heavier coats can follow. I never had that problem putting it over Tamiya primer. Here is the TS-11 on my Willys pickup. -
