You might have more luck in the Q&A section? I have never chopped anything that new. Try googling chopping the real thing. Any vehicle from that era would be a similar method.

No……BMF is 0.0005” thick, which is ten times thinner than 0.005”. If you try it, let us know how it works out.?

I made these for a Hemi engines plug wires. They could be made any size for any wire or cable anywhere on the model. The plug wires are .020” diameter, so I wrapped some .011” bead wire tightly around a .021” drill bit and clipped one leg flush with the bit. The other leg I left a bit longer. Drill a hole in the valve cover for each clip and push the clip in, capturing the plug wire.? A touch of CA holds it in place forever.?

Nice clean looking rig, and great work on that 4-link rear.? How did you make the connection on the tee fittings? Is that just super glue? Thanks. -
Looking great! Nice work on the foil.?

They are both really nice!?

Steve, these were MG Chemicals brand tapered tip swabs. I guess they are used for cleaning electronic components? I did buy some multi-sized single ended ones from Princess Auto too…..but they just snap if ANY side pressure is applied.? Edit: I don’t see the double ended ones anywhere, but here are singles. https://www.amazon.ca/MG-Chemicals-8112A-Tapered-8112A-100/dp/B08MWV1Q2R/ref=sr_1_2?crid=13B0W6GZNAW6L&keywords=mg+chemicals+swabs&qid=1676434802&sprefix=mg+chemicals+swabs%2Caps%2C117&sr=8-2

The interior paint is Premier Colonial Red from Canadian Tire, decanted and airbrushed. It was left over from my ‘41 Chevy pickup. The carpet is just a brighter red embossing powder, then flat clear over everything. I found a local craft shop that has a bunch of colours of embossing powder so I see more carpets in my future.? I use the pointed ones for setting the foil in the crease before trimming, but they are a little flimsy for burnishing. I have some nice wooden ones I got at a local electronics supplier that worked great for the foil on the wheel well trim.

That is going to look great!?

Got the foiling done. It turned out to be easier than I anticipated. I added some scratch built interior lights since I blew my OOB theme when I wired the engine, plus I think they are a neat unique feature of the 1:1 vehicle.

Gallon can be either U.S. or imperial.
