AMT 2017 Camaro "Fiftieth" Anniversary Edition
NOBLNG replied to mustang1989's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Beautiful paint job now that you have it fixed up Joe. Three pics back, it looks like the headlight needs to be rotated 180? -
Thanks John. And thanks Dave for posting that beautiful piece of artwork!? I was going to leave the body mostly stock…..but now I am trying to emulate that beauty.? I have shaved the door handles and script, and filled in all the creases. I haven’t decided whether to remove the fender skirts yet?? I decided to more or less french the front turn signals. Now I am removing the continental spare and started to fix the bumper….but I will likely wind up making a complete bumper from 0.156” half round? I want to lower the bumper just a tad and need to add a roll pan underneath, so this is where I’m at. A bit of filing and shaping to be done now.?

I went to a local craft store that I recently discovered to pick up some more embossing powder. Then I happened to notice this stuffthat should work great for seatbelts.?

I got something similar on my iPad. When I tried to log in a second page popped up for me to enter my info again. So I backed out and erased all my history and cookies. It did it a few times, but it seems to be back to normal now.?

Solder exhaust system advice needed
NOBLNG replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have only used solid 0.100” styrene and 3/32” styrene tube with soft wire inside to build exhausts. But I think solid 2.5mm solder would work best. Definitely not acid core!? CA or epoxy would work for glue. I’m sure someone who has used solder will chime in. -
