  1. I just bought a molotow refill that I haven’t had the opportunity to spray yet, so I’m not gonna buy it, even if one of my two local shops decides to stock it. I prefer foil, but that don’t work too good on compound curves.?
  2. I too will miss his presence here. He was definitely among the most talented kit builders here and his scratch building skills were second to none! My condolences to his family and friends. RIP Roger.
  3. No problem fellas!? I pick up a LOT of tips here and I am happy to reciprocate by passing along anything I happen to stumble upon.?

Stance looks good Steve.? I recently built this kit and there are some fitment issues that I noted in my build thread here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/169718-amt-‘66-nova/#comment-2556947 Looking forward to your take on it.?
  5. Glad you found the link Kurt. Fender mods are looking great!?
  6. Sense is something my wife is always giving me heck for…or is that scents?
  7. Song birds will soon be flying back north.
  8. Cars are what this forum is all about….and trucks of course.
  9. GREAT fab work going on there Kurt! Yes, lift blocks are usually at the axle, not the frame. In the 1:1 world they are a real bad idea for a front axle. They tend to fail under hard braking. Arched springs are better.? Art Anderson (not the thread starter) did a great tutorial on building leaf springs. There is a link to it in my Willys build thread.
  10. Bottom drawer is where I keep all my socks.
  11. Like Ace said, i try to pre-pin mirrors and door handles etc. Then I use a very tiny bit of thick CA on the pin for final installation. I’d be really careful with that Testors tube glue around painted bodies….it likes to create strings.?
  12. Spent the last day and a half suffering from food poisoning.?
  13. And make sure that you mask everything that you don’t want carpeted!?
  14. Difference between a good model and a great model is in the eye of the beholder.
  15. Right is where the jokers are, clowns are to the left, and you and I are stuck in the middle.
  16. Keys can become the focus of severe frustration when they become lost.
  17. “Hit me” is what I usually say when playing Blackjack…just before I bust.?
  18. It looks nice. A slight chop would be really cool….but certainly not easy re-fitting that windshield.?
  19. Just FYI…in the “how about a laugh” thread in the off topic section, Old N Slow’s photos are not showing up. Also there is a HUGE ad by TEMU between every post.

    Greg.

  20. Wail all Ya want…it won’t change anything.
  21. Look on you tube for reviews on one of these?
  22. I built these two as a kid. Also a Pinto of some sort, an early ‘70s Chevelle that I made into an El Camino (roughly?), and a Peterbilt big rig and trailer that I attempted to copy from the tv show “Movin On”.
  23. Time, and maybe this thread, will never end.?
  24. Thanks Steve. Yeah, just making it up as I go along.? Nice build Steve! Thanks Dennis. I hope to bring it sometime this year.? Thank You Jim. I’m not a huge fan either, but I had to try this one. Not sure my techniques are tutorial quality, but you are right….I am having fun with it.?
