I ordered it from Carney Plastics Calvin. Nice company to deal with. Well packaged. A guy on market place by me has one for sale. Used of course. Won't take less than $150 for his. That's about what this one cost delivered. I bought 6 from a guy about 3 years ago for $60 each. They were well used. He had more but I thought I'd never fill all 6. I was wrong. LOL! The nascar cabinet fits most models. Some pickups might not fit as they tend to be a bit taller. They also sell Novus Plastic Polish. https://shop.carneyplastics.com/NASCAR-Diecast-Model-Car-Display-Case-24-Car-124-Scale-P445.aspx

It took a month to get the 3 different tubes of Tamiya polish on Amazon and went to use one last night just to try it out. I squeezed and squeezed and after a while some came out. About a third of the tube was air. Is that a normal with this stuff? I went to my local guy and he can't get it. Said I was the 3rd person this week that asked for it. Something to do with the labeling not meeting US regulations. He searched and said the only place you can get it is on Amazon. Does anyone else have any polishing products they use?

The display case from Carney arrived in the mail and I picked the kit up at a local antique shop. I caught the end of the model box in a photo a vender posted.

Thank you. I have the fastback in the works in the same Ford color of that time period. So I'll have a trio. And I also did a copy of s coupe for my friend that was this color.

Looking really sharp.

Really sharp looking. I love the creativity in this forum. I wish I could think more outside the box.

I never thought of that Paul. And yes. I guess some of are of that age where we amass a lot of prescription bottles.

Thank you Carl. The fast back is one of the next projects I'm working on. Then I'll have the trio in the same factory color.

The Saga continues. 3 light coats of primer followed by a slightly heavier coat. 15 minutes apart. All 3 looked great. Though I wasn’t use to seeing the primed bodies looking like they had talcum powder on them rather than how they looked with the primer I used before. That looked like primer on a real car. A little sheen to them. Sprayed multiple light coats of paint waiting 15 minutes between coats. Just like I did with the primer. Mustang looked great. Then I noticed just the hood starting to change. Not good. Ford looked good. I’m thinking a good polish and that would be presentable. The Nova? Horrible. I threw the hood into the PP as I knew that paint had to come off. Well not soon enough as it etched the hood. Not completely. Don’t know if I could sand it and re-prime and re-paint it or not. Might have to beg for a hood if not. The Nova? Maybe a junker for a junk yard. Ugh. -
Beautiful!
