  1. OK. I sanded the spot on the Charger as the paint felt dry. Sprayed it again with a light coat. The sanded spot looks great! But other parts of the body started to crinkle. Looks like I didn't wait long enough for the 2nd coat. Looks like it Purple Parlor time again. Trial and error. But the white top on the 57 told good. Just what it needed. So it was meant to be when I dropped it.
  2. That is a beauty.
  3. Both are very nice.
  4. Both are excellent.
  5. Nice.
  6. The 57 Chevy now has a white top as I dropped the body. While trying to chrome the dash and big blob of chrome from the pen blasted the instrument panel. Wiped as much as I could get off and resprayed it white. I don't know why that happens. The Charger was sent back to the purple parlor for another stripping. I sprayed it today. There was a hair. Made a smudge trying to get the hair out. I'll let it dry. Try sanding it and see what happens. Or that will be back to the purple parlor. At this rate the Charger will eventually dissolve in the purple bath. LOL
  7. Great job.
  8. Short shot makes sense seeing it wasn't fully formed. I did send an email but don't expect anything from it. And I did pick up another one yesterday when I went to Cicero, NY for a model contest/show. There was an Ollies near by. They still have the same kit at our AC Moore and they are charging $28.99. They will be there for a while.
  9. Good to know as I need white wall tires.
  10. Picked these up at a model car show in Cicero, NY. Looked for a long time for the Comet. The mustang I got from Ollies in Cicero. A lot of those kits still availble there. Met up with 2 club members, Nice guys. Hopefully next will be the Fulton, NY show. But I’m definitely going to the Binghamton, ny swap meet
  11. Short shot. Well I sent them an email. Time will tell right?
  12. 1964 Ford is one of my favorites and I'm looking forward to seeing the end result.
  13. Nice build. Where did you ever find the sunglasses? I looked for a pair to put in the Mustang that I made my brother.
  14. It looks great.
  15. Wow. Really nice. Looks like the real deal.
  16. I have a kit from Revell that suffered from what I'm told is blow mold. Does anyone know anything on what's going on with Revell? I went to their website and it doesn't look like anything has been updated since March. So I'm figuring my chances of getting them to send me a replacement body will be close to nil. Why I didn't notice it until now I don't know.
  17. OK. I thought most of the auto part store stopped carrying paint. I'll have to check it out.

    1960 Corvette

Thank for the comment and input. I appreciate it. I tried the whitewalls I had but none of them worked. And the wheels that came with the kit were the only option. I need to find a place that sells the wheel backs so I can use other wheels and hub caps.
  19. The only place I've seen Duplicolor is at Ollies. Where do you get it.

I wanted to put the whitewalls on it but I haven't gotten my circle cutter yet. it's back ordered. Yours is beautiful Dave. I originally painted the indentation the side red but didn't like it. Snake. I didn't painted it. I just coated it. So I can't take credit for the paint job.
  21. Nice. On my list. :-)
  22. !960 Corvette is done. I t came black so I ran with it.
  23. Very nice.
