Sitting here looking at it live and in Techni-color, the rear wheels sit just about right in the openings. The fronts do seem to be sitting slightly toward the rear, though. The track width has seemed a little narrow to me since the first mock-up. However, I think that the front is more out of whack than the rear. As far as how accurately, According to Hoyle’s, scaled this representation is; there are many cats on this forum, whose knowledge on the subject far exceeds mine, to whom I gladly defer that question.

This was the El Cheapo MPC kit with the blue box art. It had been in the stash for quite a while. I have been wanting to break out my new air brush since Christmas and decided this kit would be a great candidate for a practice run. I assembled the motor, but left it out as it gets lost in the cavernous and oh so blah engine bay. May use the motor on another project some day. Airbrushed with decanted Testors Graphite Dust and ultra-gloss clear. I still need to fine tune my airbrushing skills, but I’m pretty happy with the results here. All comments, questions, tips and pointers welcome. Thanks for looking.

Nice looking herd of ‘53s. I especially like the woody. Is the green one parked on a stack of tortillas? LOL, jk. Beautiful builds!

Another nice build, Alexandr. I love the color choice.

Nice, clean build. Very sleek.

Wow, Anders, that is simply stunning!!

That’s cool! I kinda dig the hot pink.

Gorgeous!!!! Certainly checks all the boxes.

Very nice land yacht.

Stunning custom, Misha. Thank you for the backstory as well. It was as enjoyable as the pics.

I’m not much of a lowrider fan, but that is beautifully built. And I’m in awe of the skill that goes into lowrider paint schemes. Well done.

That’s a beautiful Olds. Great color scheme too!

Beautiful build! The natural light really makes her pop! -
AMT kit. I wired the distributor, added battery cables and dug out some parts box whitewalls. Other than that, she’s box stock. Went together decent enough, a few minor fit issues aside. Paint is Tamiya TS-3 Dark Yellow w/ a few coats of MM Ultra-gloss on top. Trim is BMF. All questions, comments, tips and pointers welcome. Thanks for looking.

Nice super clean build. I love that color! What is it?

Beautiful! Great color choice.

Nice redo! One of my favorite cars!

Awesome job. Been wanting to see one built up on here. I have the convertible in Polar Lights and the recent AMT repop of the hard top persuasion. Might have to pull em out and slap em together.

Sweet looking GTO. Crisp work on the trim and engine bay.

What’s your most and least favourite task?
BeakDoc replied to NOBLNG's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Least favorite: All the pre-paint prep work. Mold lines, flash, sink marks, deepening panel lines, sanding, tedium. And installing windows. Favotie parts: Problem solving and reengineering ill fitting kits. Also, and I’m the oddball here, I love the foiling process. It’s the most Zen part of a build for me. But I also hold my breath when the scalpel is near the paint job.
