  1. What he ??said. So cool.
  2. Hot dang! What’s not to love about this!?! Perfect stance, slammed, fat white walls and flames from stem to stern. Awesome!
  3. Stock with a few day 2 touches. I two-toned it and used the supercharger set up.
  4. The detail on this beauty is staggering! The door panels alone qualify as a work of art. Did you also custom build the oil pan.
  5. Not sure how I feel about the green glass on a pink car but I’m not one to criticize stylistic choices. That is one cool, clean custom. I dig your interior and engine bay detail.Cool to see one built with all the road test parts too. It really is a fantastic kit. I immediately purchased a second one after I completed the one I built a couple years ago.
  6. That’s a fine looking kitty cat, Jim. I really dig the interior.
  7. You may be able to do it in one sheet. I did not manage my material in the most efficient way. My advice would be to cut out the roof first. I did mine in 3 sections (first photo). Then use the remainder for the seat panels. I actually performed these steps bass ackwards, thus getting in to both sheets. I hope this helps, Tom.
  8. Yessir, that’s a fine looking Desoto. As a fellow “rush at the ender” I certainly sympathize with your plight. You did a great job covering your tracks, however, and that’s what counts.
  9. I built this same GTO a few months ago. I sanded a lot of the meat off of that little header panel ‘peninsula’ in the center and from the top of the grill assembly to get it to fit. Another thing to watch for down the road is the front and rear track width. On the ‘factory setting’ they’re both too narrow, especially the front.
  10. Wayyyyyy cool.
  11. Beautiful. Great detail work inside and out.
  12. I suppose I’ll begin with the brief history of the Mod Top just in case anyone isn’t aware that it really was a really real option offered by Plymouth in 1969 (on Barracudas and Satellites) and 1970 (Barracudas and ‘Cudas). Dodge offered something similar on their A and B bodies in ‘69; only it was called the Floral Top. According to legend the inspiration came from the Milan/Paris fashion trend of the time with the goal of targeting a burgeoning young female car buying demographic. It was a flop. IMHO, the only cars I’ve seen wearing these wild vinyl tops well were the E body Barracudas. About 2 years ago while browsing some sites for unique aftermarket accoutrements I stumbled across Slixx decal sheets of Mopar Mod Top print. I snatched up 2 of them with no idea when or upon what I might use them. Then, the more I thought about it the more it felt like the anything goes mentality behind then Duster and the Mod Top were a perfect match. So..... The paint is Plymouth L5 Bahama Yellow and 500 clear from ScaleFinishes. Trim is BMF. I day-two-ed the spoiler to semigloss white instead of black and added plug wires. Thanks for looking and as always comments, critiques and questions are welcome.
  13. Those Hudsons were some beautiful automobiles. Your builds certainly do them justice.
  14. Beautiful work as always.
  15. I have to echo what has already been said. I love watching the progression of your skills with each build. Great job on the Wildcat! Really nice paint work.
  16. Yowza! Both of ‘em are dang gorgeous.
  17. Very nice!! This could be in the dictionary beside “hot-rod.
  18. So sorry to hear this, Carl. Your builds will be missed. You’ll certainly be in my thoughts.
  19. I hit up the Canton, Georgia HL whilst out and about today. All models 40% off, no coupon needed. It was shockingly well stocked, I must say. Beaucoup Model Master stuff still on the shelves as well. I picked up the AMT ‘70 Galaxie for $17 and change and 3 cans each of MM white lacquer primer and ultragloss clear. Sale ends August 29. If you go, wear comfortable shoes as Christmas decorations are also 40% off. Or, you could not make the same mistake I made and leave your wives at home.
  20. Call it dated if you wanna, I think it holds up. That’s just awesome!
  21. Beautiful! The 308 GTB was one of those iconic cars that I drooled over as a teen. Well done.
  22. Gorgeous!
  23. That is just too cool for school!
  24. Maybe it was covered already and I missed it. Is there a chance that the parent company might rebrand some of the Model Masters stuff (metalizers, lacquer primers, engine colors) under the Testor’s umbrella?
