  1. Thanks for the info, Steve. I just got done sanding the treads and gave the tires a rinse. I’ll assemble the wheels tomorrow.
  2. I'm going to be assembling the wheels to the Mach 1 soon, and I was wondering. Do kit tires have to be washed or cleaned before assembling? If so, what would I use to clean them? The tires I'm using are from the new-ish Revell '69 Boss 302 kit. TIA

Nice build and nice color choice. It looks great without the stripes.
  4. Even with the problems, it still looks nice. I like the green paint with black stripes.
  5. Excellent build, Pat. It looks great.
  6. I've been using Rustoleum American Accents primer. The can says that it bonds to plastic. I use it under Rustoleum sprays and Testors sprays without any apparent problems.
  7. Started to stock up on paints today. I'll have to order some Testors sprays and 1/4 oz bottles online. I should have all I need for my next 6 builds after I get the online shopping done.
  8. I kept forgetting to post it, but I reorganized my workbench Wednesday night. It was originally a kitchenette in the basement, hence the L-shaped counter top. Before: After: Now everything is easily accessible and in arms reach. The gray cabinet below the counter top is where I store all my paints. Building models should be a little easier now.
  9. Yep, that is indeed the mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, lightweight European Sports Car known as the Lotus Europa. That looks like the S2 version, which ranges from 1968-70.
  10. Glad to hear that they aren’t too hard to come by. Thanks for the info. I’ll have to keep an eye out for ‘em.
  11. Here’s a neat oldie: He gave her his townhouse and his racing horses Each meal she ate was a dozen courses She had a million dollars worth of nickels and dimes She sat around and counted them all a million times
  12. Yep, you got it ? Space Oddity has got to be my favorite song by Bowie. Ahhh, Modest Mouse. Nice.
  13. Nice, tough looking build, Brian. Very sharp machine.
  14. I had all and then most of you Some and now none of you... ...I don’t know what I’m supposed to do Haunted by the ghost of you (Hint: a 2x Platinum sales Certified song from the mid-2010s)
  15. How about something space-themed? Though I’m past one hundred thousand miles I’m feeling very still And I think my spaceship knows which way to go Tell my wife I love her very much she knows
  16. I remember the song title, but forgot the artist. 3rd Planet by...somebody?
  17. A friend of mine stopped by today with these. He said that he didn't need them anymore, and thought I might be interested in them. So, now I have an Ibanez Gio GSR200 bass And a Hartke Kickback 10 amp to go with it
  18. I’m curious as to how many other musicians/instrument players are here. What do you play? How long have you been playing? I’d like this thread to be about sharing and discussing musical talents and hobbies. I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for about 6 years now. I play anything from Country to Acoustic Rock songs. I often get together and jam with a friend of mine who plays the guitar and piano. We’re actually in the process of making a cover album right now. I also have a cigar box guitar. It’s relatively new (I got it as a Christmas gift), and I only know one song on it so far, but I’m learning. And I just got a bass today. I’ll start learning the bassics (see what I did there? ?) after giving it a good tune-up. So, that’s me. How about you?
  19. Watch it bring you to your shun n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n knees, knees Welcome To The Jungle by Guns N‘ Roses.
  20. Here are my current grail kits. Revell Tom McEwen ‘57 Chevy Funny Car, and an MPC 1914 Stutz Bearcat.
  21. Welcome aboard, John.
  22. Sharp build, Phil. Looks great.
