  1. Patrick the paint work looks superb . Decals not so much. A fine brush, a steady hand and some matching paint and it should be OK. Happens to us all.
  2. Thank you Art...nice to see you on here.
  3. Excellent, very cool interior.
  4. A good way to start the new year off right. I like to finish a kit on Jan 1. Tamiya is usually my first choice. Very nice job
  5. I like it....looks mean as all get out.
  6. Bruce...thanks ...If I had this to do over i would definetly do something about those side windows and possibly change the wheels and tires. Somebody on this forum makes a real nice set of outside laced wires that are 3d printed. I Have a couple sets and have threatened to change em.
  7. Very Impressive Dann....you really like Lambo's...don't you.
  8. Now that is very cool Phil. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Kurt.. further research and I found out they used a second Miura that had already been wrecked and non repair able. The car came from Dubai.
  10. Very cool video Kurt. Thanks for posting it. Soooooo...If this is the original car from the movie what did they destroy at the end of that scene. I have watched that movie several times now and have always winced when it ran into the the front loader.
  11. Kurt...nah!...I ididn't get a ride in it. Its a trailer queen and he rarely drives it. I did get to sit in it and start it up. OMG what a sweet sounding V-12.
  12. Its a shame to see this happen to a really exotic classy car...but it happens. What a cool idea Kurt. Well executed. I have a friend who owns one of these. I assure you...he would never let this happen.
  13. Thank you Dann.....I see you are back..missed ya...that's not the only thing on fire...I retired Aug 20 and have been building like crazy. Feels good to finally get at years of accumulation.
  14. Really like all your build Scott. The NSX has to be my favorite. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Thank you for the kind words. I had to touch up the red fog on the right side. That is what kept me from finishing it for a long time
  16. Helmut.....really nice group of models. The Mangusta caught my eye. Currently working on a 1/20 rare kit version.
  17. Thank you Aaron....know the joy, about 35% of my collection is Tamiya...some 150-200 kits.
  18. Like to start the new year off right and finish a project. This years canidate is Tamiya's 1/24 Mazda MX5 Roadster RF. This is a continuation of the Miata line. A relatively new kit and Tamiyua did a superb job. Color is MR Color #109 Character Yellow. Thgis was clear coated with Tamiya TS65 Pearl clear and then finished with Tamiya TS-13 clear. Red accent color is Mr Color ##108 Character Red. Interior was done with a custom mix grey/brown and Character yellow (with some red added ) for the accent. This is a curbside kit so no engine but Tamiya sure made up for it with body, chassis and interior details. More info in the captions. Thanks for looking and comments welcome. Chassis details abound and it was a joy to paint and put together. Interior had just as much detail, steering wheel is four colors alone. Really liked the seats. Red piping is vinyl tape cut down thin. Finished car on its wheels. I built this as the top down model. Rear veiw and lots of details here. Tail lights were several pieces and required some patience to get right. Press on metal emblems were a plus in the kit. Side view. Wheels are done in Alclad Pale burnt metal. BBS stickers in the wheel centers were incredibly small. Top in the up position. This is a hard top and retracts on the real car.
  19. That's a wonderful little kit Bruce. Always liked the wheels. You did a great job.
  20. Very nice job on this one. I can really appreciate the work having just done one myself.
  21. John...that really did turn into a masterpiece. Really enjoyed the WIP. The white background looks the best in my opine. Shows off the car more with less reflection. You did a great job...time well spent.
  22. Even better Gary, Thanks for posting this, it was a great history lesson.
  23. Thanks...its one of my favorite paint jobs.
  24. You will really lie that one. The chassis and bodywork are superb. Here is a link to my Supra build
