  1. Hi Paul! Thank you, and send my best wishes to the rest of the family! CT
  2. Hi Jeff! World class, really. Bravo! CT
  3. Thank you Rich! I noted your paint recipe, and I may borrow it on a future build. CT
  4. Hi Scott! Much imagination here. The Gods of mashups must be smiling...! CT
  5. Hi John! Very clean work. You paint job seems verrrrrrrry smooth. Bravo! CT
  6. Hi Rich! Great work, bravo! I always felt that this 61 olds rear end, if it were to be mashed with the 61 Buick Invicta front fenders and grille, would make for the ultimate early 60's GM "space age" school of design. Each of those kits is hard to come by, so I can only dream of finding both and proceed with this mash-up. Someday, who knows? CT
  7. Hi Gary! Well, if ever there was an "extreme makeover", this is it! Your customizing is subtle, the front end is stunning, and your fade job is world class, as usual. Bravo! CT
  8. Hi Tim! A pair of very convincing cars, for certain. Let me guess that their lack of glory in the model field might be related to the Logghe chassis design. Granted, Logghe almost singlehandedly started the growth of countless regional Funny-Car teams, but compared to the more advanced "digger-style" chassis that came with the maturing of the discipline, it might have them to look a bit "dated" when they came out, even if their technical execution was above any complaint. Just my two cents... CT
  9. Thank you Wayne! I love the "non over-organized" aspect of the lakes racing. One of the last basion of "amateur" motor sport. The amount of imagination and ingenuity these guys come up with always amazes me. I try my best to convey that in my yearly Bonneville cars... My latest one (a scratchbuilt streamliner) will be on this forum in a few days. Hope you like it! CT
  10. HI! Here's my So-Can Speed Shop Bonneville 32 roadster. Long live the salt! CT
  11. Hi Rich! Thanks for the answer. I'm not surprised to learn that you are a painting PRO, it certainly shows in this Plymouth. And I, for one, am glad that you keep buildiing models, be it just "for yourself". You work is world class. Keep at it please! Regards, CT
  12. Hi Mario! Thanks for the comments. My photo skills still need much improvement. I'm working on it... CT
  13. Hi Rich! Great restoration, bravo! And the metallic glow of your paint job is very spectacular! Do you care to share your secret recipe? Just curious... CT
  14. Hi Misha! Thanks for the comments. You are right about the V12: fairly basic, but lot of potential. And the exhaust crossover dictated that I find a solution that would be out of the ordinary. Hence, the "stack" style, made of an unknown "bargains bin" side pipe that I shortened to fit. The joys of scratchbuilding! Good luck with your V12. I look forward to see it on this forum! CT
  15. Hi Dennis! Thanks for the comments. Craftsmart calls this color "Suede", but to me, it's more like "Mushroom". Hence the name I gave the car... CT
  16. Hi Francis! Thansk for the comments. I have a seemingly endless supply of "leftovers". I'll need to talk to my doctor about it, eh? And you are right: this one did not escape the green valve stems! On the decal side, this one was a lucky find inside the 2016 reissue of AMT's 29 Ford roadster that I bought recently. The decal sheet was of very good quality, and contains many options for "vintage style" lettering. Can't wait to see your D-100 PU "in the flesh" this fall at the Quebec model show. Keep on! CT
  17. Thanks Oliver! The front tank is a section of a chrome tube that was inside a ball pen, with .10 Plastruct end caps made with a punch. The rear bumber/stop lamp is actually a side-pipe of unknown origin found in a bag of parts a friend sold me. Never let anything go to waste, they say... CT
  18. Hi Mike! Thank you. I know those tires are a bit unusual for their thread pattern, but the front/rear sizes are a good fit on many builds. I have numerous Dodge Sidewinder kits, but I always ride them for parts: engine, suspensions, interior, rolling stock, etc. Not one completed yet. Just organ donors... CT
