  1. HI! interesting and unusal... I guess this bug moonlights as s street sweeper... CT
  2. Thank you Steve! I came upon this finish by accident, and the combo sequence (outlined in a previous post above) is quite the looker on the show table, in my experience...
  3. Hi David! Well, you certainly made the Canadian branch of the Ford Motor Co. proud! Very nice! CT
  4. Hi Paul! Lucky for you, Testor's had a Coupester kit, actually a variation on the Boyd Smoothster kit, but with different nose (like a 38), and a fixed roof. I know you can mash them up, as I did for a friend of mine who wanted one. My pics show the coupester kit, with the Smoothster removable roof fixed solid instead of the Coupester original roof. Might work... See pix... CT
  5. Hi! Masterfull work, bravo! CT
  6. Hi David! Great build, and the color combo is perfectly representative of the era. One of our neighbour had one when I was a kid, it it was very similar... CT
  7. Hi Gareth! The color combo is very well integrated. Sweet! CT
  8. Hi Mike! That color really "pops" in the sun... and the dash is very nice. Bravo! CT
  9. Hi Ray! What a nice PU, the gloss coat seems ultra smooth and shiny. Bravo! The contrasting hood "panels" and roof are a great match for the wheel spokes! CT
  10. Hi David! It looks more and more like a meeting of "Retired Anonymous" by the minute... Might as well confess it too: retired for 16 years. As Mr. Woodruff stated above, it allows for spontaneous ways to fill your free time, the most important of which is modeling, of course. Welcome aboard! CT
  11. Bienvenue Christophe! This forum is INDEED populated by fine hobbyists, always ready to share their passion and experience. You'll love it! CT (un cousin du Québec...)
  12. Hi John! I used the Lindberg Cord 812 rollingstock on this Foose "food truck" scratchbuilt. I liked the proportions and the way they filled the openings. Just my two cents... CT
  13. Hi David! I agree with you: people won't LIKE it... They'll LOVE it! Quite a showboat, and the Caddy rear end suits it very well. Bravo! CT
  14. Hi Russell! Very clean "salvage job", bravo! And choosing black for the top section increases the level of difficulty on a rebuilt. Mission accomplished! CT
  15. Thanks for the infos! I'll give it a try... CT
  16. Hi Ray! Great color combo. What will you pick for the interior? And if I may: what is your metallic finish on the tranny/driveshaft? It looks the part! CT
  17. Hi David! Wow, many of those I see for the first time. World class roster, really. Bravo! CT
  18. Hi Tom! Wow, you nailed the stance perfectly. And that color... CT
  19. Hi Steve! Well, input is worth nothing if... the right guy is not on the scriber. Well done, fits perfectly ! CT
  20. Hi Steve! Interesting styling statement, to say the least. If you keep it curbside, may-I suggest you go with your 2-door idea, but don't exclude a mild top chop /hardtop look as on the blue picture? If someone can pull it off, it's you! We'll all be watching! CT
  21. Hi Paul! Thanks for the kind words. From now on, to know that I have the attention of the Mattox Styrene Dynasy of California is intimidating! I'll try to do my best. Regards to your family! CT
  22. HI David! Interesting project, it recreate the essence of what a late 60's custom could be. I remember building the Thunder chopper when it came out ( I must have been 15 back then). The springer was the best part of the kit, but shortening it makes it even better IMHO. Plus, the crescent shaped rockers in the kit are a bit outdated. I'm certain yours will be much more refined. Clever idea for the fender. I'll borrow it on my next chopper project! Keep on! CT
  23. Hi Mike! I agree with Francis: it takes a steady hand/eye coordination to do this. You've got it, obviously. Bravo! CT
