  1. Great kit. There's also the boxtop 61 if you need top for DIY. Resin easier, esp. for 62. I've got 60-62 Hubley wagon kits, but have never had the 60 in same place at same time with any of them. Probably a bit narrow/short for the Hubley, I guess.
  2. Found a 42 tpi Zona in link @ Amazon. Deep blade. I actually think I have one. LOL. Fine tooth deep saws a great thing. Fine tooth Xacto blade saws nice for starts and finishes too.
  3. Not trying to be pain, but Zona sells tons. Check their site. Google works too. https://www.google.com/search?q=widest+width+of+a+razor+saw+with+the+most+TPI+(teeth+per+inch.)&rlz=1CAKCSV_enUS749US752&oq=widest+width+of+a+razor+saw+with+the+most+TPI+(teeth+per+inch.)&aqs=chrome..69i57.6855j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  4. Adrienne Barbeau and Tara Bucknam Funny stuff.
  5. Rosso Rubino is incredibly fine metallic. Need to squint to see it. 10173 was factory RR, first F car I ever drove. 09437 was burgundy metallic repaint of the McCluggage race car, subsequent restoration noted metallic underneath. Can only guess color, but either Junior or Tony Nancy painted it, only 2 serious Hollywood painters back then. Barchetta is more toward red end.Rubino leans to blue spectrum more. Not arguing, but lots of misconceptions about Ferrari colors. Worst is painting GTO's Rossa Corsa, when the color used then was Rosso Cino. They're not the same. Chinese red much more vivid. Last photo in this series is closest to real color, decent lighting. https://barchetta.mediacenter.plus/?menu=small&banner=no&op=ds&SLClose=stay&dir=1964569&slsbackgrnd=0x131313&ft=search.10173&style=Plain&SLClose=stay&SlSidx=4&SlSdir=1964569&ref=showflat&mode=fullscreen&v=ad&si=3400756
  6. Rosso Rubino is the color above. Rosso Barchetta dates from 94-95 or so. Incorrect for anything older than that. I mentioned the alloy wheels, since you mentioned the above car, 09437. There are other places to look, but it's a start. http://www.330gt.com/Encyclopedia/PaintColors.htm This is about halfway down the page, a 275 paint chart. #6 is Rosso Rubino. 7 is Rosso Chiaro, 8 is Giallo Fly, the early, pale version. Not the awful later version.
  7. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/1-sort/mpc-pontiac-fiero-gt/?view=roll#5 Detail surprised me for era. I guess the Olds 442 was from then, but the Daytonas and Chargers of those years were pretty meh. Anyway, neat looking car for a GM partsbox item, and the V6 on the 1:1 sounded like a Dino.
  8. Hygiene trailing in 3rd I LOL'd at those.
  9. Yeah, aware, never heard good story how. It was a new unfounded rumor to start . Agree my "reliable again" pretty outlandish too I'm one of the funniest guys I know.
  10. Uncertain T. Great showrod kitted in 60's, issued x 2 IIRC. Stupid money on feebay. Fun build, quirky showrod. Owner is, um, difficult? Not posted for hatin' just posted as it'll never happen rumor.
  11. OK. New kit comes out. Usual complainers that have never laid hands on kit. Thread only 3 pages long, huge sales for kit, fill contest tables. Dial phones and flip phones dead in the forum. Everyone has smartphone. ?
  12. Spare is under floor, so can go either way. Needs to match road set.
  13. Forgot about that powerhouse. You're right. Thought it was reflection. Need Adrienne Barbeau and Susan Anton action figures for the Countach, IIRC.
  14. That's what they meant by "shifting by ear"?
  15. Looks great. Steal a tool roll from a Fujimi Daytona. A concours original 4/cam tool roll is about $30k. LOL. 100 points is goal.
  16. LOL, never noticed, but that's not a TA, Flat hood. Other cosmetics, but that. Blue and silver would be Nevada, but that's CHP logo it seems. Cool idea.
  17. AMT issuing new Star Trek stuff. Thats where money is, and Coke stuff. Cars get bought at HL (stateside) with 40% off coupons. They will likely do new kit, they've done Vettes in past, and they're spending $ on revised stuff. Fujimi introducing new kit? AMT reissues all Exner Valiants ? Steve Scott allows R-M to reissue Uncertain T? New car kit comes out, no one complains??
  18. No-Tox cement discontinued?? Noooooo, the horror!!11!! We need to start a pool on the next rumor to start. Reliable Resin now reliable?? TKM bought Don's old molds?? Palmer bought out Tamiya??
  19. Group buy. Just sayin'
  20. Presser starting with "With a heavy heart"??? No corp announcements? Distributor dumping because profit margin dropped, or rumor mongering again. Another thread around here addressing this, not the rumor. Umm, no, until Rustoleum says so.
  21. I just meant it has master cylinder detail, other stuff you didn't really see much then. 1:1 Car yes was cobbled, but it finally looked cool, and V6 sounded like a Dino. I was asking about the MPC kit. Ignoring the awful custom stuff, which ain't much. I've got the black issue above, which seems to be the '88? I don't have kit immediately to hand. Just far better engineered kit it seems than its contemporary kits.
  22. Diamond blue per Ford. 67 and on, iirc, I remember Cougars, and I remember a 70/71 Montego with black vinyl roof in that color. Looks great. Looks like the cool grey that comes on Raptors and GT350's now too. Great build. Quick googlage found this.
  23. I'd never had a late style Fiero GT kit, 86-88. Kinda scarce on evilbay. Finally got one complete fairly reasonably. I was shocked to see how nice the engineering and detail is on it. Lots of extra mechanical details, fit really pretty good to start with, and looks like straightforward build. I don't recall seeing one of these built, have seen the notched roof cars, maybe one drag car. I've seen other MPC from era, and the 1500 pickup was good, but this thing is pretty nice. Be great for re-issue, and I think it'd sell. Classic example of GM getting the car right, evil sounding little 2.8 V6, and then discontinuing it. Anyone built one of these??
  24. LOL. As long as it was a REAL vent.
