Pretty neat truck. What kit did you start with? Any aftermarket parts?

I have never lost one in the house. Though I was at a show and displayed a 1/64 Hot Wheels with the 1/25 kit I built of it. Some little kid walked off with the Hot Wheels. I did find a replacement on ebay a few weeks later. My wife's cat ran off with the front axle and center link for one of my Freightliner builds. I had to substitute a Ford front axle to finish it. I found the axle months later when we moved the dining room table.

I rarely have the privilege of photoetch. Though I did do the "FORD" on the front my racecar hauler. As to your rear trim predicament, you are down to BMF with a freehand trim or MOLOTOW with a steady hand. Unless of course, you can mask and paint it. If you actually find thin enough chrome tape, I fear the nature of tape adhesive will permit it to migrate over time. Especially in the corners.

That yellow looks nice and so does the photoetch. Your FORD letters could have been done via the paint over BMF technique but it is too late for that. If they stood "proud" enough you could use a MOLOTOW pen if you have a steady hand.

I do the same. When I uploaded my stash, there were a few kits I had that were not in the database. I put forth the effort to help out others.

I see the differences. Swapping looks doable with some work. The issue would be, is it worth the effort.

I would suggest finding a chunk of 12 gauge STRANDED wire and use one of the strands from that. You will have to color it silver but it will bend any direction you want and stay there.

The rarest I ever built was a JoHan Haulin' Hearse. I lost it long a go. The rarest one I have now is my 70 Grand Prix I rebuilt.

Sanded tire treads and a red shifter ball. Nice touches on a beautiful build.

Get a rectangular tub just big enough to hold a car body submerged. Make sure it has a lid that seals. Another alternative is the big plastic gallon tubs of ice cream. Though you will have to eat all the ice cream first. (The sacrifices we make for our hobby). As mentioned earlier. Super clean is more concentrated than Purple Power. I used the same jug over 2-3 years and dunked at least 10 bodies in it. I even left one in for 5 months with no harm to the plastic.

Those turned out very nice. How did you make the distributor so realistic?

The scoop is simple enough to make from evergreen sheet stock. I too, suggest the Motion Baldwin Camaro. Here is what I did with mine.
