Revell Kenworth W900
Bills72sj replied to JordanFordF1's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Correct. And if your tires do not seem to want that much stuffing, you may trim it lengthwise as well. It scissors cuts very easily. -
Your correct. The box was open. The tires are scrawny thus my replacement comment.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will still likely simply replace the tires.

Keep up the good work! -
Way cool! Artistic is more fun than perfect.

I have just enough budget and room to only get one of every truck kit I want. I didn't even know this existed until I saw it on ebay. It was a good price so I snagged it. I will have to do something about the wimpy split tires though. Mobius to the rescue!

This is better big rig tire stuffing. It is called 3/8" window backer rod available at home improvement stores. Less than $5 and can do probably 10 semi trucks. -
Quarter mile Cuda’s Sox and Martin 70 & 71
Bills72sj replied to dragmodels44's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Nice builds. I love the paint scheme(s). I vividly remember watching Sox & Martin race at Cornhusker raceway in NE when I was a kid (my dad was a drag racer). He was up against a dark red 69 Chevelle. The Chevelle driver red lit. I even remember which lanes they were in. -
Very nice! I have one of those. Do you have a build thread to go with it?

Very nice dashboard detail. How did you get such nice BF Goodrich lettering on Goodyear tires? -
Just order this from ebay for less than $37 with shipping. I will have just about one of every truck and trailer that I want. The only thing left on my wishlist is a KW K-123.

You are truly a MASTER builder. The detail you put into your build is quite impressive. -
Congratulations SAM! I got one of those last fall and expect another one (a Doctor no less!) coming October.

Bills72sj replied to BaBaBooey's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Agreed, usually the part price is reasonable but add shipping and you can buy a whole kit to rob parts from. Then there is Sam with a BAZZILION parts to beg, borrow and buy from.
