  1. Thank you guys!
  2. That is simply beautiful!!!!
  3. That is a cool way to make WWII era staff cars.
  4. I spent most of the day Saturday applying the ton of stripe decals to my cab. Lots of finesse was required but it turned out pretty well. Good thing I had two sets as I strayed from the box art paint scheme and needed a bit more striping. I also wanted to make my own door decals so I put forth the effort to get exactly what I wanted. I hunted the internet for "outline" style fonts so that I could do RED fills on black outlined characters. I used the old school program MS Paint so that I can work in .bmp (bitmap) which doesn't have any file compression. While I have 6 or 7 photo manipulation programs but, MS Paint is the ONLY one which lets me reduce PRINT size without reducing FILE size. (When you reduce file size the resolution gets really crappy). I am so STOKED that I have finally figured out how to make virtually any decal I want. The only limitation I have now is the colors my injet printer can and cannot do.
  5. Just visited the nearest one to me (Salem, OR) to get some flat tan paint. The kits were well stocked. The customizable diecasts seem to be slowly encroaching on the styrene kit shelf space.
  6. Very tasteful result. Great job!
  7. Thank you guys. For my first ever resin, it turned out nice.
  8. You have quite the sculpture going on there. I shall follow your progress.
  9. I like what you are doing. I shall follow along.
  10. Where did you get the chrome half fenders? I am doing a Freightliner Heavy Haul and it could really use a pair. Nice rig by the way.
  11. Very nice result for a stalled project. I have one of those kits and it seems to have a lot of chrome "bling". I have vision of pairing it with a chrome tanker trailer.
  12. Very nice job on the cab stretch and color combo.
  13. Thank you, since this is my 2nd one, I have changed the assembly order of all the parts attached to the chassis. I am kind of working from the inside out.
  14. Thanks. I am currently slowly working on the cab. I have touched up the paint and done the BMF. I applied some door decals but am not sure I am satisfied with the result.
  15. Thanks for the feedback. I was just throwing the idea out there. For those who can do bodywork (not me) I think they can pull it off.
  16. Well I am glad I inspired you. I was not aware my build was on a resin website. Do you have a link?
  17. I intended to build a 68 Yenko Chevelle but found in my research that Yenko did not make any Chevelles in 1968. So... I just kinda winged it.
  18. I agree. My buddy has a big block Heavy Chevy non A/C without power steering. It has the alternator on the passenger side. When I built a model of it, I had to raid the parts box.
  19. Yea, what he said.
  20. You guys inspired an idea. Cut the roof and trunk from both a Cougar and a Mustang. Swap them. Voila! Notchback Mustang + Fastback Cougar.
  21. Correct. And if your tires do not seem to want that much stuffing, you may trim it lengthwise as well. It scissors cuts very easily.
  22. Your correct. The box was open. The tires are scrawny thus my replacement comment.
  23. Thank you for the suggestion. I will still likely simply replace the tires.
  24. Great Job! They are one of my top 3 favorites.
  25. Very nice. More pics please.
