  1. Thank you all for your praise. I do have a Canepa twin that is a stalled WIP.
  2. Acrylic paint thinned, brushed, left to dry and excess wiped away with damp cloth. It looks like I need to get some acrylic flat black and practice on some old builds. Thanks.
  3. Actually nothing. The wheelwells were already big enough to take the meaty tires. (Barely) I believe it is a 2003 reissue of an AMT kit. This is the only rear view pic I have on my PC.
  4. Thanks, A LOT of posts here. It is a bit overwhelming. Are there guidelines about commenting on old posts?
  5. These are the only two I have built. I have (1) '67, (2) '68s, (3) '69s and (2) '70s (all different versions) to build. I like the '68 grille and the '70 tail panels the best.
  6. Gorgeous result. Very impressive. How did you do the black panel lines? It certainly adds realism.
  7. I love your "shop". I plan one building one once my two FLAs are done.
  8. Very nice. Your changes make it unique. I have two modified ones on the bench right now.
  9. Hi all, I am making my first attempt at sharing pics of one of my builds. It was done quite awhile ago. I hope you guys like it.
  10. Hi all, Just joined to share and converse with like minded builders. I also would like to improve my skills and get new ideas from fellow modelers. I have about 35 builts and 175 unbuilts.
  11. Very nice 1st effort. I haven't built a semi in years but am currently working on TWO of the Freightliner SD/DD.
  12. Very nice. ? I am building two of the Freightliners now. I did rectangular head light conversions on both.
  13. I have one of these in the queue. I like your color creativity and "story".
  14. Yours seems to present well. The only problem I remember when I built mine was the hood doesn't open very far. Note: mine is not the Canepa version though I do have that one partially built.
  15. CA glue for parts that are not chrome or painted gloss. (fogging issues) Strong bond but inflexible. Testors red for most everything once paint has been scraped from contact points. Minor flexibilty but is best left to cure 24hrs. Testors window maker for clear parts and for bumpers because it wicks into gaps and dries clear. Note: gravity helps with wicking. Future/Pledge for painted, detailed foiled, decaled bodies to seal everything down. Boo boos can be redone after cleaning off with ammonia base cleaner. Can be brushed on suprisingly heavy. Any bubbles will disappear on their own. NEVER reacts with paints or decals like some clear coat aerosols. I have Plastruct Bondene but I have never been impressed with the adhesion unless used on a large surface area.
