  1. I see. I guess I'll find out when I spray it.
  2. There have been complaints of lots of flashing, (there is) but I love the subject and you get extra parts. (Which is good, as my semi parts box is nil)
  3. Nice rig. You have a lot of detail invested in it.
  4. I disagree. Anybody who can pull off 5 kit builds of the same subject by the deadline definitely deserves bonus points. lol
  5. I have recently had the priviledge of visiting Sam at his house. He IS a stand up guy. I helped sort out a number of his rebuilder projects and he generously let me have one and part of a fire engine which will provide parts for a number of builds. Thanks Sam!
  6. I will be following your build.
  7. Very classy ride!
  8. I really like quite a number of them. If you run out of shelf space. I will be happy to give them a good home.
  9. I have 2 cans of KSC036 SCS-036 Sun Yellow. It is good to know that it is enamel so I can be aware of its characteristics.
  10. WOW! You are a really good builder. The paint quality is stunning.
  11. I finally got to use my paint booth today for the first time. I brought in a space heater to warm up the room to 80+ degrees. I brought in a pot of hot water to warm up my paint cans. I set up the booth in the window just like I had designed it. I applied food wrap on the inside surfaces to keep them clean. I am doing this in the spare bedroom in a house with a wife with a sensitive nose. I used 8 different rattle cans with various types of paint. The paint booth worked GREAT. My wife said she could not smell it in the house and while I did wear a dust mask, I had minimal odors in spite of sitting right in front of it. The mask looked like it had never been used. I ran my 12 volt fans on 6-7 volts and as the filter got dirty, I adjusted it up to 10 volts. The filter kept everything behind it paint free. I am so happy to be able to build more in the Winter now.☺️
  12. Thanks Sam. I finally got to paint some parts today. I have been waiting since Thanksgiving (when I built my booth) for the humidity to be low enough to paint. It turned out both good and bad. I got a lot of parts painted so I can do some more assembly. Unfortunately the additional layer of gold to seal the masking has a TON of dust stuck to the invisible adhesive from masking materials removed. I'll try to clean it up when it is cured but we all know gloss black isn't very good at hiding flaws.
  13. FINALLY! The humidity was low enough today to paint. I have been waiting since Thanksgiving. I really put my new paint booth to the test. I sprayed 8 different rattle cans of paint in the spare bedroom WITHOUT my wife's sensitive nose going off. ☺️ If I can resist the urge to fingerprint my parts, I may make some progress this weekend.
  14. I agree, the 400s get up and run. My built 455 (now 469) pulls hard too. My dad had a lot of cars during the 60's and 70's. Some I would like to duplicate in scale. One I kind of have.
  15. I have a bit done. The engine in pink and a few other bits painted. Due to an unfortunate choice of black paint, the frame has spent more time in the purple lake and brake fluid than it has been worked on. The rectangular head light conversion is done.
  16. I have another version of this kit. I will follow your build.
  17. I have one of those Aeromax 120s. I will be following.
  18. While not truly Pro Street, These Chevelle will take some tire stock.
  19. To have the interior correct the wheelbase correct and (I hope) keep a Pontiac engine in it. Just do what the 1:1 shops do. "back half" the car.
  20. Ok thanks. I don't use the stuff anyways.
  21. Elmers or epoxy? I would like to heed your warning.
  22. I like flat top COEs. I'll be following.
