  1. I am a big fan of the pens too. I bought a 2mm first and kinda choked on the $13 price tag. However, the results are outstanding for those of us who do not spray Allclad. I have since bought a 1mm which is good for interior detailing.
  2. You will not need to shorten the frame. However, your will have to move the cab's rear (landing pads?) forward as well as the exhaust stacks and mounts.
  3. That would be me. I was (am) impressed.
  4. Keith Marks. Chevrolet only did them in black or white. Keith will make them in any color you want.
  5. Made a little progress. Cab base color is cured so I had to figure out how to mask it for second color. The kit decal stripes are thin and have no instructions on where they go. Besides that the artwork on the box is actually off. I am also doing a swap of the red and white on the bottom half. I copied the decal sheet on my printer copier so that I could cut the stripes lengthwise. I then used some off brand BMF (which has too thick of glue) and laid it on the front of the cab. I scotch taped the paper decals in place then cut the foil to use as a mask. Once that was done, I used Parafilm to mask off all of the straight lines due to its SUPERIOR masking abilities. The cab is now ready for the 2nd color. (Now I have to wait for the humidity to be low again). I have the interior detail painted and am waiting for paint to dry before final assembly.
  6. Made more progress this week. Interior detailed and assembled. Fabricated diamond plate deck plate between crossmembers.
  7. I am a bit late to the party but WOW!!!! What an impressive batch of eye candy!!!!!!!!
  8. Thanks ?
  9. Last night just a little bit. Upper radiator hose attached, Molotow chrome on exhaust joints, Clutch pedal on both interiors. The weekend is coming, I should get more done. (Freightliner COEs)
  10. Thank you both for your replies. My goal is to place the plate on the frame such that the 5th wheel is right in the middle of it AND the front edge of the trailer lines up with the top of the fenders in front of the drive wheels.
  11. For ANY of you who have BUILT and/or have an OPEN kit.... What is the distance between the front EDGE of the trailer and the KINGPIN? (I need it to properly place my 5th wheel plate on my Freightliner COE) Thanks.
  12. These are on my wishlist. I'll be following.
  13. I will be following.
  14. I am building one too. I will follow yours to get more ideas. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/147002-white-freightliner-coe-day-cab-dual-drive/
  15. Quality, quality, quality. 'nuf said.
  16. I am a NASCAR fan but I have not built any. I REALLY Love your style of old school plus uniqueness of sponsors and color schemes. I will look forward to seeing more of your builds.
  17. They are vague. Like where do the tabs on the on the belhousing go in relation to the frame? And if you put the breather/rocker covers in the order the instructions say, the air cleaner doesn't fit. I have heard about shifter mount height too. (not quite there yet)
