Two trade boxes came in today : Vince Nelson [vintagedragcrazy] Ken Boyer [Kennyboy] both trades went fantastic, and items were awesome..trades you can trust..

I had just got my end of a trade with vintagedragcrazy [Vince Nelson] and he said to check one of the boxes, and in the box was the item I could not find...a perfect size Sponge Bob !!!! I didnt ask him for it he found it and sent it to me, thats what modeling and friends you make in the hobby are all about ...thanks Vince

I live in Dupage county, I cringe when the tax papers come in, the last child went to school 12 years ago and I'll be paying for other kids to go to school till the end, kind of like health insurance, if its you and your wife or a guy with a wife and 5 kids it all cost the same..

Did a super parts trade with Paul Gardner [gardnerpag44] fast and packed perfectly..

Pin the rear high seat brackets to the body as theres nothing to hold in place as glue or ca cures, put headers on after body is on other than that its pretty simple..

This one was started just needed to be completed, so I got it done. Only regret was not trying the yellow back door decals before going to far. They cracked bad once they hit water. I know I should have hit them with a little clear before using them since they were older decals , and I went to far to paint the doors yellow. Only extra items was making a simple seat back for the high rear seat and a small windshield curtain. Used flat clear acryl on the roof and seats

Started awhile back just getting it done. Already painted black and clear coated, used dull on roof and visor, dulled up the interior. Engine block painted just need to add chrome, start painting curtains and walls inside and out, paint ceiling .Have to make extra short curtain for windshield frame top..

Thats very cool, . Roof rack completes the build..

Thanks to all that commented and Vince I did look for a 2 inch tall Sponge Bob while the roof was still off . I looked and my wife checked when she shopped and nothing lots of room in the cab area for him too.........

This phantom show rod build fought me right to the end, but thats ok, , just another day in building something different .

Shot clear on the frame then knocked it over, into the stripper and back in primer.On any 2 piece chrome parts the chrome was removed and painted after seams removed.They gave you 4 glass color options Amber, Clear ,Purple and the color I chose , Blue... Not much left to build , should be done with it once last of the paint and clear coat dries.. Kind of looks like a Minion from Despicable Me that I watched with the grand kids..

1ST trade with disabled modeler [ Mark Orr ] and it went perfect. Mark is good people.

AMT Showrod painted 3 colors, all seams sanded out. The problem with this kit is the chrome attachment points, when cut away it leaves 2 sometimes 3 bad spots, plus an unsightly raised seam , so I'm sanding those also and removing the chrome on items for painting. The kit looks easy and would be a quick build if not for all the extra work.. The tires were another issue, rims and trim rings were a very tight fit and would not seat in the proper spot. Had to grind out the tires with a rotary tool until the rims fit easily once they were painted. 3 tries to get the proper fit.
