  1. All body work done , new "A" frame finished and blended in, wide whites and parts box hub caps. Paint will be Dupli color Charcoal dark metallic .This body was in good shape except the windshield frame, nothing was sanded off so it will take a fair amount or foil work.
  2. Got metallic brown color on and first coat of clear is dry ,I would like to spray on another coat of clear, the final tire / wheel combo is on .I still have to start on the interior.. Its a pain that the bumper sides have a mold line, I really dont want to remove and rechrome , Im afraid I'll move on to something else and never finish it. I'll polish the body , bare metal what needs to be foiled , add the door handles and see what happens.
  3. Good as always Vince and may as well thank Kevin [bismarck] Little , we have an on going trade that wont disappoint. Thanks guys
  4. VW bus is a fantastic item from back in the day
  5. Theres a toy and model swap in Dekalb Illinois on Sunday November 13th. The info sheet says 8th year, I never been to it or ever heard about it before and its a good ride from my house to Dekalb, has anyone ever been to this show?

  7. First trade with carman1 , absolutely a perfect trade, thanks Troy
  8. Scored another cool builder. This time its a 1960 Lincoln, only the seats were painted and all the extra parts come off easy.
  9. Lets not forget Billy Beer, hard to believe this kits 38 years old already. Mint except some chassis parts are painted flat black..
  10. I remember getting ready for work was a shower, usual grooming and coffee....1/2 hour or so...now the 1/2 hour is dedicated to grunts and groans , then the shower and grooming, wash a few pills down with that coffee, a few strategic ace wraps to hold various joints in place, and then off to work. As a kid I would always wonder why older folks got up so early.
  11. The original AMT 59 Chevy glass is to wide. I have a vacu-formed front glass that will fit up until the vent windows, I would just have to make the vent glass its own piece.
  12. Click on the word ''message'' and then click ''leave conversation'' its below the storage used percent bar.
  13. This is other build I have going and is another older kit save that the original builder,{ just like all young builders of the day did } glued on every part in the box .The windshield was in for the long haul,no way I was getting it out and no way to salvage the windshield frame .An original AMT 59 Chevy ,bad body but perfect windshield frame, was cut out and notched onto the Buick. Would have been a great idea except when eye balling the two windshield frames my eyes said same, but the Chevy frame was a tad wider , about 1/8th inch had to be cut out. I was able to save the original visors but cannot use the great glass from the 59 Chevy because of the modification to the "A" frame. The front and rear chrome had been freshly plated and has new taillights and 2 complete sets of hub caps. It also came with a set of nicely done Pace car decals.
  14. Got the body work done on this '60 Mercury by cleaning up what the original builder sanded off and deepened the door , hood and trunk lines`. Then added simple 1.5mm strips of half round to the sides. I filled in the top fender grooves with evergreen strips then added the same 1.5mm half round on top of that.. Sanded the leading edge of the fender top strips flush with the fender. Color I chose is Metallic Root Beer body and off white interior with body color accents.I may change tire and wheel combo to wider whites, but have to wait till paint is on.
