  1. All these look great, and Kerry the Dodge cabover makes a great donor, I went with the J/F resin White 3000 cabover and tire wheel combo, the chassis from the Dodge L600 is the right size for S/A tractor..
  2. These are the kind of things that ended open trading for me and I open traded alot. I still trade but its a PM to a person if I'm looking for something or someone needs something I will PM them, or I get PMs from others looking for items...mine is not a fool proof system but it all starts with simple honesty.
  3. I finally got one unbuilt for a very reasonable price
  4. These are the resin 61 Buick and 66 Cuda pieces George at GT chromed up
  5. A friend of mine was sending a bunch of resin bumpers so I tossed in a few resin front and rear pieces myself. They came in yesterday and the items looked outstanding, great work George...
  6. 62 Ford ..door handles shaved and custom front and rear glued on but I'll take it Original 63 Chevy.. complete
  7. I would love to see a post started just on the odd, unusual , resin builds you dont always see. I think that would be something we all understand
  8. Most of his items are pretty thick and need to be thin walled and trimmed for things to fit but I enjoy building J/F stuff like this PT Cruiser panel . You cant really force fit resin , it will crack or break....if you do ruin it and its not fixable your not out of big bucks,, This was just a back half of a small 30s 40s truck box that was super thick and top heavy,I but I changed a few things and had to lengthen the 41 Chevy frame..took some time but its different VERY thick
  9. Then I guess Im part of the general public and not in the high end buyer area. Maybe a high end guy like Bernie Madoff could use one hes got alot of time on his hands and high end people are honest right?. Maybe Im taking it wrong but again it may have been said wrong.
  10. Ive taken many breaks from the hobby all due to my job. Driving across the country left little or no time for building. My problem was I never stopped buying kits? Im still driving but after almost 2 years of being a local drver I can say I built probably 1 a month sometimes 1 every 3 months. Now I try to only chase down kits from the 60s or early 70s and go to as many swap meets as I can plus hang here with you guys...Good luck whatever road you choose Ray but I hope its with us..Ken
  11. The box art looks like the old "Sizzler" kit from the 60s. .
  12. I enjoy the older kit builds, the driver completes the look. Looking great so far..
  13. A very sad day indeed. ..Rest in peace friend.
  14. Out bound and inbound pakages to Vince in Pa always take the same amount of time to me in the west suburbs of Chicago..2 to 3 days Priority mail, now Missouri to me in Illinois always goes thru St.Louis at least 2 times then back south before it arrives by me, sometimes 6 or 7 days priority mail.
  15. Wow that's just horrible news, I always hoped and prayed for a better out come for Harry and wil continue to do so, and Cato thank you for your updates on our friend Harry.
  16. 67 Monza complete, never built. Im trying for all the Corvairs but may have to settle on some builders on the earlier ones
  17. You got that right brother ?
  18. " Other Mishaps I've been hit with is parts falling and disappearing never to be found again or after the part has been replaced it shows back up. Anyone else have these Gremlins in their house????" All these parts that fall and go missing never to be seen again are tied in with with tools , such as sockets, if you drop a socket on the garage floor it rolls to a secret spot someplace on the property where it hit the ground. Thats as close as I can pinpoint those " floor lost objects".
  19. I just added a post there and it worked fine, maybe it was a momentary glitchy thingy..
  20. Got this "61 Buick 4 door resin complete kit at the Dupage swaps today along with a few other items, talked with a few friends I ran into. Good to see you again Nick [High octane] MPC 56/57 Corvette and another MPC Mail Truck both complete.
  21. Ill be there also, its always my first show of the year..I'll have on my White Sox jacket..
  22. I like the early in the year better than the fall show at Dupage Nick, the fall swap meet seems to have less vendor offerings in my opinion because of The Toy show at Kane county, Tinley Park swap , Toledo NNL, Countryside swap, Dupage swaps are all to close together October thru December.
  23. All the wheel / tire combos look great. I have built many Lindberg kits through my life but never one of the big 1/8th kits from them. It looks like a fun build with all the options they gave you.
  24. Three chrome markers 1mm 2mm and 4mm. Now to try them out..
