  2. Picked up a few items at the Countryside swaps yesterday the ford pickup [super stones] is the original, no box but complete Dodge tractor with flat bed trailer, no box , no tires the johan Fury, funny car only , built but once , taken apart and paint removed everything else sealed or unbuilt
  3. Nice Lincoln, the 2 colors go well together.
  4. Ron, I have another convertible thats really clean, never painted never sanded and a complete resin hardtop...I just love this generation of big bodied cars 58 thru 64 all makes and models
  5. When I bought this Mercury it only had the stock parts and front and rear hubcaps did not match and all the trim and scripts were removed ,the windshield frame is perfect and for $15 at Dupage swap meet last year I had to buy it. I decided to do a mild custom.,so I opened up a new set of Pegasus chrome reverse #1125 . I have mirrors and spot lights and great glass for it. I am going to add a strip some place on both sides so I can break up the long body with some chrome.and add a continental kit on the back.I used a Tamiya panel scriber to make the door lines deeper, and that scriber is an awesome tool to work with. .Door handles were shaved off but I got two chrome ones off a junker Revell 59 Chevy .Next step is to get the body in primer to find all the scratches and low areas from the original owner sanding everything off. Basically the only thing Im missing are the fender guides and what color it should be.. .
  6. The grille makes sense because its bright with the surrounding paint being worn through, wheels could use a light wash because the white walls have scuff marks. I can do that..thanks..Ken
  7. And lets not forget another trade I had with Vince Nelson.. (vintagedragcrazy). Seems like I just cant run him out of vintage drags and AWBs....Ha..thanks Vince
  8. I just traded with Elvin [mredjr] not only is he an honest trader ,but he sent more than our agreed trade. Thanks Elvin
  9. Started with an original AMT 34 Ford pickup builder, added some '32 Imperial parts and some '36 Ford parts and few parts box items to build this slightly used hot rod shop truck..
  10. Delton I enjoyed your story, Nick, I agree the roof would look better lower ..but with me, it seems when I start chopping and cutting up stuff lately I tend to get so far off the original ideas I'll put it aside in the ''Lost interest'' pile , but if I stay on track I can complete most projects..I must have reached that old guy status..
  11. Summers pretty much over and I went back to the last one I was working on. The headlights and most of the interior are from the '32 Imperial, V-8 engine from '36 Ford. Everything fits well . Frame and engine are a silver blue. Body may be 2 tone with one of the colors being white, not sure yet. Just feels good getting back to building something.

  23. I stopped by a friends house to chat and see his latest build of a 1938 Ford coe cab and chassis looking the way it came off the assembly line minus the cargo box .[or flatbed / stake body]. The truck was built by Dean Milano [Im sure he said it was Mill city replica resin piece] .Its a curbside build with kit and parts box items , it turned out really nice. I shot a few pictures of a rarely seen build and thought I would share them here .
