  2. I have two of these: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tertial-work-lamp-with-led-bulb-dark-gray-00424985/ I have 100 watt equivalent LED bulbs in them, I just screwed the mounts to my desk. I also have an LED magnifier. I had everything up and running in less than 20 minutes. Rog?

  5. Looks like a great project. We don’t have anything like that around here. Every thing here is the front discharge type. When you get around to mounting the cab and hood, I would very much appreciate it if you could give us a quick rundown on your method for mounting these aftermarket items. I have yet to delve into the resin cab conversions ( I intend to in the future ) and I really have no clue whereto start. Thanks Rog ?
  6. My guess is it is a 20ft container. I used to work for a packaging co. It was used for some packaging, lotto tickets and wrapping paper. If I can recall it was .0005” (super thin), the rolls we got were 62” web width and had 150,000feet on them. We usually got 25 rolls per shipment, they were around 1,800 lbs per roll. Rog?
  7. Sorry to here about the mishap. Substitutions are allowed. Rog?
  8. Another question? Do you have to cut close to the rivets or will primer hide the edge of the carrier just fine? Thanks Rog?
  9. Me too!!! It was probably warm enough today, but the wind was blowing 45. I need to get another set of doubles, I cut one up for the drom. Here is a mockup of the SD with one of the doubles. Thanks Rog?
  10. Pinned topic above might help http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/73170-buying-my-first-airbrush-or-compressor-questions/ Rog?
  11. Thanks for the info!! I have a bunch of other open kits, maybe they ended up in one of them. If not, I will probably just grab some I beam stock and make my own. Rog?
  12. Back to not being able to paint. They are talking better weather mid-week, we will see!! Just been working on getting thing ready to paint. Here is a mock-up of the drom with trailer. Rog?
  13. Here is a picture of the instructions with the parts indicated. Rog?
  14. The instructions show two I beam frame rails that install in front of the rear bogie. My kit doesn’t have these pieces. Is this an oversight by the company or were these removed for the later issues of the kit? Thanks Rog?
  15. Thank for the info! One of the videos I watched said to use the G scale 5(8 rivets. He said it was almost a perfect match for the kit rivets. Thanks agin. Rog?
  16. Archer water slide rivets. Do they need a glossy surface, or can they be applied directly to the primer? I have done some research and it seems to be the best way to deal with the seam on the Freightliner COE. Thanks Rog?
  17. Yes!! At least 2. In doing the research I have kind of fell in love with the company. I have the rest of the year so hard telling what will happen. I wish someone made the older freightliner shown in the pic from a previous post. Rog?
  18. I got a couple up on wheels It was warm enough to paint the last few days. Rog?
  19. Updated entry list on the first page. Rog?
  20. I don’t know anything about 3D printing!!! I will just speak of tools in general. My dad always told me to buy the best I could afford. don’t try to save money on the front end because you will regret it on the back end. Rog?
  21. Just plugging away, I have a few more ideas spinning in my head. I figure with the weather here I might be able to paint about September!!! Rog?
  22. AITM has complete Mack kits and conversions. You might contact them and see if they will sell you just the bumper. Rog?
