BRBO 2022
wayne00 replied to JerseeJerry55's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I had a quick PM chat with Jeff. I will host the 2022 BRBO. I will start an official thread tonight where everyone can sign-up. All my hopes for a good year!!! Rog? -
Started with the AMT Freightliner FLC and AMT Great Dane flatbed trailer. The trailer is just shake the box, all lights are aftermarket CTM from ST Supply. The tractor: Aftermarket parts include: Fenders and rear bumper from Model Truck Builder. Decals from Modeltruckin. PE and lights are CTM from ST Supply. Had a headache rack from MTB but couldn't find a glue that would hold. Had straps and ratchets for the load but just didn't get to install them. I enjoyed the build, on to next year. Thanks Rog?

BRBO 2022
wayne00 replied to JerseeJerry55's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I am about to finish up this years BRBO. I am in for 2022, I already have my condo picked. rog ? -
I had last week off from work and was able to get quite a bit done. It seems like this project has been nothing but one step forward and two steps back. I think I can finally call the chassis done; the interior is done I just need to install it. Some detail painting or BMF and add the shiny bits. That's it for now, see you Under Glass. Rog?

Ollie's strike again
wayne00 replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I was in Seymour, IN store on Tuesday. They had the Diamond Rio & White Western Star, I picked up one of each (if I would have had more money, I would have taken them all). They also had the 97 Mustang GT. Rog? -
I like to look with the sleeper but it does make it look a little stubby. Care to share, that would be some useful info!! Following along. Rog?

At Walmart (at least one store)
wayne00 replied to Classicgas's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I was in the North Vernon, IN Wal-Mart yesterday, they had one of the pallets in the back main isle. It was picked over but I was able to get the Ford snowplow and a Chevelle pro street. Rog? -
Rustoleum 2X Over a Multi-Media Finish
wayne00 replied to old gearhead's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
O.K. You guys have me scared now!!!! On my current BRBO build I am using the 2X gloss clear (first pic). I used it on the fenders and rear panel (second pic). I haven't put any clear on the cab parts yet. The color coat is Duplicolor Perfect Match over Rust-oleum 2 in 1 gray primer. Now I'm afraid that the 2X Gloss will eat the decals, I did use 2X satin and semi-gloss on the trailer with no ill effects to the decals. So do I have anything to worry ABOUT??? Thanks Rog? P.S. All of the decals I am using are from Modeltruckin. I have already had to order a 2nd set because of my mistake and I don't want have do a 3rd. -
Update: I have the fenders mounted, the rear panel is done just needs glue. Fuel tanks and battery boxes almost ready to install. Was working on the cab decals but messed up the nose piece on the right side and had to order a new set. Still waiting for the new decals. Did a couple of mock-up pics. The trailer is basically done I just need to add a few pieces when I add the load. Back when I have more!!

I'm finally able to get back to it. Trailer: I was working on trying to finish it and realized I needed to do a bit of modification before some of the parts I wanted to do would fit. I have the work done and it's back in paint, I'm going to let it cure for a few days. Tractor: I have the rear bumper mounted and am working on getting the fenders mounted (nothing is glued yet). I did a quick mock-up to get an idea what it's going to look like. Back when I have more!! Rog?

Thanks guy's, it's much appreciated!! Rog?

Was looking for something to do while I was off for my surgeries (carpal tunnel) so I pulled these to kits. Nothing fancy!! Don't criticize to much the yellow & pink ones were done mostly only left handed and the blue & gold ones mostly only right handed. Rog?

I guess no one has used this particular product. If they are 8 scale feet wide there looks to be at least 48 scale feet on the sheet. If I measured correctly the trailer only scales out to 42 feet. So I guess 1 will be enough. Thanks Rog?

New Ford email announcement...
wayne00 replied to BlackSheep214's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's a pick-up truck. Rog ? -
I gave this some consideration when I started the kit. I have ZERO experience modifying anything, it was the only trailer I had and didn't want to take the chance of screwing it up!! So I'm going with the decals, I just need to know how much material I will need. Thanks Rog

A couple of weeks ago sent an e-mail to Modeltrucking with a question about one of their products and have yet to receive a reply. Wood #3 floor kit : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce (modeltruckin.com) I need to know if there is enough material in one set to do a full flatbed trailer (in my case the AMT extendible), or will I need to get two of them? Thanks Rog?
