  1. Perfect replica of Platt 'Stang. Great job Nick. Man your models are impeccable?
  2. Great looking Camaro drag car, love it Nick.
  3. Whoa Thomas, super nice job??
  4. Wow, thanks for the great compliment Michael.
  5. I have this one, actually my wife bought it to use for cross-stiching and didn't like it. I have only used it a couple of times. It seems my hands don't work so well when looking thru magnification?. It looks exactly like the one "yh70" posted but with templets instead of a headband. Different brand but probably built in the same Chinese factory.
  6. Thanks Craig, I know you looked in occasionally in the WIP thread. Glad it's over.
  7. It's done, check it out in the Under Glass section.
  8. OK then, we're almost neighbors?
  9. Thanks Keith. I like your statement about going back in the box which is exactly I did with this one. BTW, where about in Tennessee are you?I'm 45 miles south of Nashville.
  10. Built mine a while back, actually the first Ford I ever built. It's a nice kit and pretty easy to do. Valences front and rear, quarter windows take some finessing to get right. Also, be aware, getting the stripe decals on the hood, trunk and valences are a pain. If I ever did one again, I'd consider actually painting them on. Just my 2 cents James and good luck.
  11. Here's another picture to show the hood better. Not the best fit in spite of a good bit of time on it.
  12. Thanks Rob, was so glad to get it overwith.
  13. Thanks Rusty. The "rake" is actually more extreme than I was hoping for. The metallic in that paint is so fine tho, it's really hard to see even in person. Thanks again.
  14. Thanks Buddy, seems like you and I have had discussions about this build forever?
  15. Very nice Nick, beautiful work?
  16. Well my Friends, I'm calling this one finally done. This was started in April and gave me a lot of problems so was kind of an off and on job. I appreciate the kind comments by all in the WIP thread. My feelings on this one are that it did not come out exactly as I had hoped it would but I'm not the craftsman that a lot of you guys are. Since I did'nt want to use the kit moulded single exhaust and rear suspension undercarriage I grafted a '66 Nova Pro Mod rear section with tubbed wheel wheels onto the front section of the kit so I could use the super wide wheels and tires. Red paint is air brushed Anita's Craft True Red, the black is Anita's Craft Metallic Black (there are actually very fine gold sparkles in it). Clear is rattle can Rusto Automotive Acrylic Lacquer. I used actual automotive window tint on the quarter windows, but sprayed Tamiya smoke on the rear. The actual aluminum wheels were provided by forum member " vintagedragcrazy". Thanks so much Vince. The rears are from the '67 Chevelle Pro Mod kit. I got the hood from ebay from Lex's Scale Modelling. My BMF foil work leaves a whole lot to be desired, and the actual BMF was a batch of the poor adhesive foil and of course gave me fits. With all that being said, here's some pictures.
  17. Looks very good Steve. My first new 1:1 car was also a '66 SS Chevelle (Black/Black). Great memories. There is one thing tho I see as odd about the real car pics is the 2 tone seats.
  18. Very nice car, grrr8 looking family. Your build is looking cool!!?
  19. Nice job Zack. Classic '57 Chevy color looks great. For a first timer with BMF i'm impressed. A lot of trim on a '57 and and it's not an easy kit to nail it.?
  20. Moving along, keep up the good work!!
  21. Ohhh boy, I've never done a Funny Car but I just might need to get that one. Says it's a Skill Level 2????
  22. Wow Rodney, thats some radical alterations. Drag Beetles are definately cool.
  23. Well Carl, it's about done after walking away from it many times, even boxing it up for a while?
  24. Found a picture huh, yep, looks to be all black. Looks like the kit wheels for the front are different than those in the picture, but I'm sure that varied at different times on the real car.
