  1. Good choice for paint. My latest go to.
  2. Just wondering why carnuba is a good thing. I use a various automotive liquids with good results.
  3. True about the clear Tom. I'm liking the pictures of the '61's, probably my favorite Impala.
  4. Great work on this Roger. We know the 1st gen Firebirds don't get the respect they should as compared to the Camaro. Your take on this one is outstanding. Man you have put in a lot of work to make it absolutely accurate.?
  5. Great interesting post Richard. After all my years, I now have a better understanding about this well used piece of hardware on drag cars and hot rods.
  6. Beeee-utiful David. I always thought the '59 Caddy was the best looking Cadillac ever built. ?
  7. Thanks John, gonna try.
  8. The not painting the "insert" sure makes sense. We can call it the KISS method. When I did mine I brush painted it with no so good results.
  9. Thanks for the tip Mark. I actually bought bendable aluminum "wire" 2mm that I made headers with for the '57 Chevy I built a while back. Gonna give that a try. I did a test build of a muffler a couple weeks ago and it came out pretty darn good. Will still be a challenge for me tho.
  10. Thanks guys. Next I need to paint the undercarriage, and as I have seen a few 1:1 cars will paint it the same color as the body. My issue now is what to do about the exhaust as it will have to be a scratch build and I have limited experience doing that. Also, the headers on the small block.
  11. Wow Roger, that looks great!! Love that red?
  12. Wow, that '67 Vette is huge. Great job on it Anthony?
  13. Will make a cool model but no fan of those huge fender skirts. Model on!!
  14. Very cool Ismo. Don't see a flip front Buick every day for sure. Nice work.?
  15. Thanks Bob......actually one of my favorite builds after resuming modeling a couple years ago.
  16. Not really a gasser but '40 Willys. Built a couple years ago.
  17. Going big huh Chaz. Looking darn nice so far my friend. I have never built a large scale car and have always thought it more difficult to to get some of the details to look right. The interior looks great. Ya know I'm watching?
  18. Impeccable (and yet another adjective to describe it)!!!!!!!!!! Wow, I agree with Dave above. Great work as are all your builds Chang???
  19. I use the Rusto acrylic laquer clear over my craft paint jobs.
  20. And I assume this is done before clearing right?
  21. The panel lines on the 4-4-2 look perfect Steve, especially when comparing them with the real one pictured but which technique was actually used on it?
  22. Got it!!
  23. Beautiful Roman, gotta get started on mine. Great paint, interior and engine compartment??
  24. Welcome Mark. My wife and I owned and operated a straight truck doing expediting for about 10 years and now also retired. You can learn a lot here!!
  25. You asked me to let you know when I finished my '63 so I don't know if you saw my completed '63. It's in the Model Car section. Your GS is coming along nicely Mark.
